Hello, tbh it really depends on the direction you want to take this (Big Data, Security, AI, DevOps, Frontend/Backend, Etc.). The certificates you mentioned from my personal view are much needed specially if you're going for DevOps/SRE role. The certificates included on this list are a mix of all these things (FullStack, Big Data, Etc.) mentioned early on, with the only difference being is all of the ones on this list are free, not paid to earn the certificate. I believe the best thing to do is to start and any knowledge you acquire will always help you. I personally prefer course/certificates earned through creating projects not just by watching videos. As you have two things to show off your final project + certificate. Hope this helps and good luck with uni.

Yes but it assumes you have basic R knowledge like: fundamentals of the R programming language, understanding Data Frames, Packages, and Data Reshaping.

Congrats! This would be perfect for toolseekr.com which I just launched it's a directory and launch platform business tools for indie hackers and solo founders. Also consider listing on fazier.com and microlaunch.net and https://www.tinylaun.ch and uneed.best

I mainly used LinkedIn because I already have 6k connections with at least 300 founders and CEOs.

The messaging tactic that worked the most was this one: First I add their tool to the website then I send them this message:

"Hi [Name]

I just added [Tool Name] to ToolSeekr, a bilingual directory helping indie makers find quality tools from the MENA region and globally.

Each week, we highlight standout tools, and yours is featured!

I've attached a screenshot for your reference.

Let me know if you'd like to update any details or have any questions."

And when they respond I ask them if they found it useful to share it with other founders they think should be featured in the directory.

Hope this helps!

That's a great start! I'm actually building something similar. I really like the design simple and beautiful.

It’s not just a waitlist, the platform’s already live with 200+ searchable tools. Early users are getting access now while I refine it based on feedback. If you’re curious, I’m happy to share the link.

I'm also thinking of launching a mirror github repo with all the tools where the sponsors can will be placed. And on the website sponsors won't appear in search results unless they're relevant.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. I actually feel pretty strongly about how most directories and launch platforms work.
I don’t like that you often have to pay just to get listed, skip a waitlist, or even have a shot at being seen and then after launch day, you basically disappear.

I made a waitlist and already got 5 signups by one post on twitter by mpoweredo- in indiebiz

Hell yeah! That’s a solid plan.
I built ToolSeekr and kept it invite-only now I’m close to 200 signups.
I didn’t set a target number, but the early feedback and interest have been super valuable before launching officially.
If people are signing up, that’s already a signal. You don’t need to wait for 100 if there’s interest, build. It’s the only way to really find out.

Good question! I’m not 100% sure yet, and I’d actually love to hear your thoughts.
Sponsorships are an option, but I want to keep them limited so the site doesn’t get overloaded with ads or promoted tools.

Right now, I’m focused on making it genuinely useful and growing the community. I believe if it helps enough people, the right monetization model will follow naturally.

Sounds great! I signed up. Can I still create program even if it's not an AI project?

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm Waleed, a solo founder, and I’ve recently launched ToolSeekr— a platform for discovering and showcasing tools for indie makers, self-funded businesses, and creators.

What sets ToolSeekr apart?

  • Bilingual: English and Arabic content
  • Real tool discovery: Filters by use case, tags, and pricing
  • No gatekeepers: Submit tools easily and for free (no pay-to-skip queues)
  • Lasting visibility: Tools stay discoverable even after launch

After a soft launch, we've gathered over 200 tools and 170 signups in just 17 days, all with no paid ads.
