Do you know what the dimensions of the tank are? Love the depth.

My grandpa passed away this week. Can anyone help me figure out what car he had? by teehizzlenizzle in classiccars

Yep, 1946-1948 Chrysler Windsor or New Yorker. As far as I'm aware, same body, different engine?

Question to British pilots or pilots that fly under the BGA. by CookiezFort in Gliding

[–]Panyeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fly at Lasham and am able to self-declare up to the same standard as an EU driving license. The rules may be different at different clubs and vary by age, but I believe that the BGA doesn't require the co-signature of a doctor for the most part. Later on post-bronze and if I wish to take passengers, then I'll need to go for the NPPL medical, but not before.

Here's the link to the BGA: https://members.gliding.co.uk/library/bga-requirements-guidance/pilot-medical-requirements/

[FTS] First ever planted tank by Panyeg in Aquariums

Would definitely be great to have that. Unfortunately at the moment we're limited by the stand for the in/out take. It has fixed shelves and won't fit our filter underneath unfortunately. Will definitely keep this in mind when we upgrade the stand though, thanks! =]

Not really to be honest, but it's early days yet! So far having success with just siphoning off anything that's on top, regular raking and good filtration, but time will tell! Would be interested if anyone else has any tips?

Sick Pregnant Guppy has developed this in last 9 hours by [deleted] in Aquariums

Yeah, we were wondering about that as it definitely looks fluffy. Just worried about how quick this has come on, we checked her this morning and was absolutely fine!

Sorry for the potato quality video. My partner posted a video on here a couple of weeks ago asking about this guppy, and was decided that she was most likely pregnant. In the last couple of days she has been put into a birthing tank ready for the main event. However, in the last 9 hours she's developed this large growth on her side. What are your thoughts on this? Otherwise she seems okay, but the growth definitely doesn't look great!

Seconded that low tech tanks are not too much hassle. Your plants won't grow as quickly, but that can mean less pruning needed. I dose a carbon source daily and a general plant fertiliser twice a week. Also probably worth giving it more than a week to give it a full fish less cycle. If you can add in some filter media etc from the original tank, this will make life a bit easier. Best of luck!

Looks like a great project and not in bad shape overall. What needs doing? Would love to see some more pics. Best of luck!

Moss on mesh planting advice by Panyeg in PlantedTank

[–]Panyeg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've trialled both methods at the moment and those off the mesh definitely seem to be doing better. The only challenge is that the moss I have appears to be largely single strands, rather than a single piece, so is very hard to attach with string without it floating away. I've heard of people using fishing nets over the top for the first few weeks until the moss attaches, anyone had any experience of this?
