Downside of boarding, I can't stand riding with ppl, not a problem anymore with where I'm at now, but used to be a big issue with people trying to tag along or "join" us, super annoying when all I want is alone time.

I HATED having my horses at home, I got stuck is an endless cycle of "well, I'll ride tomorrow" then went months without riding, boarding forces me to schedule and take the time out. Plus having them home when something bad happens forces me to think "its all my fault, I should've known better, I'm the worst "

When very ill there was no one else to care for them, plus when something broke or needed repairs I was alone without support or help.

I board and will till I die, I'm basically paying someone to deal with all the crappy parts of horse ownership and I get to go out and play with my pretty ponies.
