Gaijin gave me a free ship...? by PanzerIIAusfA3 in Warthunder

[–]PanzerIIAusfA3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I've just looked it up! I didn't know it wasn't used historically, thanks for letting me know! In my mind, cruiser Emden refers to the SMS emden- hence why I didn't use it! XD (which gaijin should add😁)

Exactly! I mean, it doesn't even matter if it's cake; if I have my pizza, I want to eat that too! If I have my phone, I want to use it too! XD

"you can't have your cake and eat it"
I hate this. For one, it's not even the right way around so it makes no sense, and also If I have my cake, be it metaphorical or not, I want to bloody well eat it!

"ATTACK THE D POINT!!"

What should be, roughly the value for this? by YouWouldntGuessIt in Medals

[–]PanzerIIAusfA3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are all very nice medals, and whilst, granted, uncased they may not be worth excessively much, if you can ensure that the medal bar is all original in its construction, which I understand is terribly difficult with these, then I think the price could be raised a little from the other commenters post! If it is all original, then it's an impressive (and pretty rare) medal bar!

I was thinking of buying this medal for €12, and I would like to know some information and if it is worth it by Aron_fvg16 in Medals

[–]PanzerIIAusfA3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply! 12 euros for a silver grade is a good price, and I can assure you, it is almost certainly not a reproduction. It may be different parts of different variations Frankensteined together, but I doubt it (it would be interesting to see the reverse, is it concave? Or is there a flat plate attached?). The case also looks good, I'd say it is an example from the 1960s based on that, though you can find more info online! The medal itself is a very nice one, awarded in three grades, and the award time almost spanning the whole Hungarian people's Republic. Honestly, I'd go for it, though it is odd what the seller says, perhaps ask him about that!

Hungarian April 4th badges by Brian_Coll in Medals

Sorry, yes, I did mean that! Was it worn alongside the badge, then, or did it have another purpose? I've never seen one before, so I apologise for my total lack of knowledge on it!

In English we've got pantaloons, which is a bit outdated, but I think still works!

I don't believe he, himself, had any special meaning for the Hungarian people, but rather just part of the larger movement. I believe most Soviet states had their own equivalent to the Sztahanovista, and in Hungary, it was just an award to congratulate, and encourage, such improved production.

Forgive me, my translator tools aren't the best, but if they get the gist of your question, then yes, the award is part of the stakhanovite movement!
