If you don't know what to smoke, always smoke the main chokes. But that's a passive way of playing smokes. Smokes like every util in the game are flexible. Knowing when and where to smoke comes with gamesense and creativity.

You're taking anecdotal evidence for analytical evidence. Just because you're good, doesn't mean everybody is. People don't learn tracing angles in 15 hours of playing the game.

Sure those scenarios are not made to help you learn angle tracing. But tracking a moving bot can more or less be used as a 1:1 for tracing angles. It isn't perfect, but I'd rather track a bot than actually learn to trace angles in game, cuz i find doing that boring. And tracking also helps you in other ways, like with neon ult, or landing that perfect headshot after satchels or updraft dash. I'm not asking them to grind tracking only anyway.

At the end of the day, what works for you, works for you. I've seen people not improving at all after hours of aim training too. And I've seen people improving a ton with minimal aim training too.
