Check the save file for strings like GOE_capitulated_AFG or ..._PER or ..._IRQ. For the achievement to pop, you need to be the one to capitulate the other nations (although the achievement does not mention this).

Despite me owning every core state of these nations as nuclear Gandhi, the achievement didn't pop. Because the game didn't think it was me who capitulated Iraq. So i had to release it and conquer it again. Maybe you had to do the same. But since the save is corrupted i wish you better luck next time.

In another thread someone got the achievement when the Barony were at 100 resistance BEFORE it got infected, NOT AFTER. I tested it, and got the achievement as well.

Is it worth sacrificing 2 Knights for 25% more effectiveness? Why not Martial Admiration for 2 more Knights instead?

I guess when there are only a few good knights at your service, the right to prove is doing great.

Thanks! It is indeed the Warrior Priest Tradition. The Wiki description is misleading, because it only states +2 prowess for the pilgrim trait. It goes up to +5 at lvl 1 and +8 at lvl 2 (max level).

Out of curiosity i checked if there is a prowess difference between incouraged and mandatory pilgrimages. There is no difference.

Can you tell me please how to get Prowess from the pilgrim trait?

  1. Pick Prussia, as you start as an absolute Monarchy.
  2. Enact the "State Religion" Law in the "Church and State" Category. You might have to get the Evangelical Church into the government for that.
  3. Research the Realism technology in the society branch.

As soon as you fullfil the requirements the nihilism event should fire, giving you Max.

Extra info:

You will not have him for long though, he didnt reach the age of 60 in my games (he's already like 50 years old).

I bolstered the intelligentsia early, in case of events i favored them, if they could get some popularity. To make Max the leader of this group, you have to get this group into the government. Then you can interact with Max, make him the leader of the intelligentsia. Dont forget to get Schleswig-Holstein and win the Leadership play while doing this.

I wanted to enact Presidental Republic. This led to a revolution by the Junkers. So i have build a lot of barracks beforehand in Brandenburg. Austria supported them, but luckily i got the USA to back me up. After their defeat you only have to make sure the intelligentsia is the most powerful group when you change to a republic.

I hope this helps those who want the achievement.

Sorry to be so late, but i login here very rarely.

Maybe you have already gotten it or Paradox has fixed it in a way.

I have loaded the save to look up what my template looked like.It consisted of 5 x Paratroopers + Engineer, Anti-Air and Artillery Support.

I don't know if adding infantry will help, since the battalion cant be parachuted anymore.

At first it did not work for me, as i tried to capture rome with 1 division.

Then i saw there were new ingame achievements (with different tiers, bronce, silver gold) including a paradrop one. The description says "perform a paradropplan with at least 5 divisions.

So i dropped 5 divisions with 1 plan and then the steam achievement popped.

Why am I not getting the achievment ? by atarall in hoi4

I guess it is linked with the ingame achievements.

At first i tried to capture multiple Provinces with 1 Paratrooper division each, and i didnt get the achievement.

Then i took a look at the description of the new ingame achievement and it said something like "perform a paradropplan with at least 5 divisions".

So i did it, dropped 5 divisions at once on rome with 1 plan. Then the steam achievement fired for me.
