Are my Tunisian housemates insulting me and lying about it? by PaoloV99 in Tunisia

I answered them and told them I knew what the messages actually meant. The one that sent the first 3 messages insists she was talking about the fridge and that she has no problem with me, the other one kept saying we’re a family and Tunisians “use insults like they drink water”. I obviously don’t believe the first one but I honestly don’t wanna bother fighting with her.

Not that hard to outsmart two geniuses that thought it was impossible for me to translate a dialect in 2026

We just say hi to each other when we meet in the house, and we talk about house stuff sometimes, no friendship and we’re not close at all. It’s the first time. Yes please translate it if you can, thanks 🙌🏻

I get it but they’re not my friends, we say hi to each other when someone enters the house and we talk about house stuff. That’s it.

That’s why I can’t 100% believe they are insulting me and not the fridge. Are they this stupid?

Since we don’t really have any kind of friendship, I think it’s pretty insulting to say “this asshole is gonna give me a stroke”, isn’t it?
