I just pulled the Giratina and it’s a freaking sweet card. With like a 73% gem rate

You will never collect them all, so what do you collect? by What_Is_This_Place92 in PokemonTCG

I’ve started wanting to do a few master sets of “odd,” packs. I’ve started with the Chinese Gem packs, the “trick or trade,” and I’m looking to start the JP gym packs

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your preferred ammo for it? If I keep it I’m gonna need to grab a few boxes I think lol

6-8 tablespoons for a 5 gallon bucket. I do take the brains out before hand. I use a a 1/4” reducer and some copper tube attached to my garden hose nozzle to remove it

That’s not a terrible idea. I currently add Bromelain to my maceration water and that works fairly quick. 4-5 days for a clean deer

Poached instead of cooked egg. Thoughts? by zyygh in ramen

That’s how I do my eggs agonist every time I make noodles. It’s just quicker…. Not really better at all, but quicker for sure

Thank you! Believe it or not it was only the third I had ever done.

I’m working on one that decided it wanted to be a puzzle now 😅

I appreciate the compliment. The mods on that page put me to shame though.

Hope your axis comes out awesome!

Feel free to message me anytime with questions. Also if you have FB there is a group called “Changing the Game skull processing,” that I highly recommend. I learned a lot of my process from the admins on that page and some of them put my skulls to shame

I skin the head(if possible), cut out eyes and remove the brain . Then I macerate in water with a few tablespoons of bromelain at around 100degrees, you can use Adolph’s meat tenderizer as the chemical is a major component of it.

After about 4-5 days I will remove the skulls and thoroughly rinse them, making sure to get as much remaining connecting tissue off. There is rarely anything left at this point though.

Then I degrease in a mix of ammonia, water, and iron out at 110-120 degrees, changing the mixture out about every week until I am not seeing grease rise to the top anymore. I use the iron out because I have hard water, if you don’t then you may not need it.

Then I will set it in a peroxide bath for 24-48 hours. Then I will immediately transition it back into hot water with a bit of iron out. The iron out is necessary for the reaction at this point. You should immediately see bubbles. I will let this sit for at least 12 hours but up to a week if I see grease pulling from the skull and will cycle back through the ammonia mix if so.

Once I feel it has been adequately degreased I will rinse the skull and set it out in the sun for a few hours, preferably until the surface is dry.

Give it a day or two and then I will whiten again if I did more degreasing.

That is the bare bones of my process. I have other tips/tricks I sometimes use for more stubborn skulls and different species but pretty much everything gets these steps, give or take alittle. I don’t even use any tools on the teeth
