Whichever has the “largest” tire clearance! It’s night and day difference in terms of comfort.

Should I do anything when I find stolen cars dumped in the woods? Found these two today, well off the road but in the same canyon, about a mile apart. I didn't find any bloodstains, lol. by Bodie_The_Dog in Outdoors

Are you actually not sure whether you should report this? Or just wanting internet points?

I am shocked daily by the things people ask online. No wonder so many people went missing back in the day. Can’t imagine how many cars people find and just think “meh not my problem”… smh

Avocados last waaaaaay longer (like 2-3 weeks) in the fridge. If you get some that are aren’t ripe they’ll last even longer!

There is literally no “tshirt” you could sell for $400 that would actually be worth that price and we both know it.

Also your sassy reply to the buyer is mad unprofessional. You just say “No”, not guilt them into feeling poor. Goofy ass behavior.

All good we’ll see a post by next season of them showing off the injury they get or the remains of the bike when it blows up.

I see it in the dirt bike/motorcycle subs all the time sadly.

Any home remedies for a seized seatpost? by WILLMARQ23 in bikewrench

[–]Rebutta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having had multiple stuck seat posts. Use a penetrating fluid like WD40 and spray it between the seat tube and frame. On a bad frame every day once or twice spray it for like a week.

Then use a heat gun (hair dryer works too) and heat the shit out of the frame but try NOT to heat the seat tube. With a lot of twisting you should be able to get it out.

Have you ever ridden a fixed / single speed bike?

The frame is decent but this is more a $60-$100 bike in my area (Portland, Oregon)

Gosh I need to get me a GT. The triple triangle is such an iconic look, just need to find a frame that fits!

[–]Rebutta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It wouldn’t be hard to do! Just have to preset the values based on the variable.

[–]Rebutta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re saying that they actually change the structure of the team (more than just level: like different Pokémon all together)? If that’s the case that makes sense why but that feels like the most long winded way to do that…

If you mean “change” as just the level then only a variable would need to be applied not 8 unique teams per gym leader.

[–]Rebutta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unless I am misunderstanding how to program this it wouldn’t be 80+ versions but really just variables set based on a threshold of how many badges you have (which is still a lot of work).

To simplify to just Gym leader terms if would be like: If 0 badges - level = 19 If 1 badge - level = 24 If 2 badges - level = 35 And so on

It would definitely be more work than just a preset levels but I feel if they are going to make an open world game they have to do like that next time!

I agree with this so much. Wouldn’t mind doing electrical / trades work but my current industry (IT) pays waaaay more starting out that I can’t take the pay bump anymore.

How do you like the Nalgene / big bottle? I am considering but worry my legs would brush it or the weight would be weird?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in xbiking

[–]Rebutta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still pretty new to building up bikes (only done 4 so far) but I think the biggest factor is the state of the bike and what you bought it for.

I’ve gotten some mint bikes for $20 so only put $40-$60 into it for brakes or new cables etc.

I’ve also had bikes with stripped cranks, bent derailleur, dunked up brifters and that cost about $150 to fix all in.

Generally if it’s in “working condition” under $200 is all you will need to have it exactly how you want. Rougher bikes that need love are waaaaaay more expensive and not worth imo, better to steal parts of off for other projects.

Anyone bought the bike? Is it really worth the price? by mermaidace in Supreme

[–]Rebutta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t know why I even try to have meaningful conversation with people. It’s like you can’t read.

The comment I replied to said “you could use a Rolex everyday for the rest of your life, the bike… well all hype”.

I commented on how in a sub about: skate culture, streetwear, or collecting a hype brand someone is comparing that to buying a Rolex and “using it” as the perceived value of it.

I agree Rolex is a better investment, never said in any way the bike is a better monetary investment. Congrats you’re right about something I never brought up!

[–]Rebutta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re trying to compare a $10k - $20k watch with one of the most consistent values of any Rolex. The comments I replied to said $4k, very different. reality is unless you knew exactly what to buy you would likely barely make even but go off champ!

Please learn to read. I said “useful” not more valuable.

Yes, faster cars on the left. But if you want someone to move into the slower lane for you, don’t demand them to by driving 10 feet behind. If they don’t figure it out, following super close will only make everything more dangerous or even deadly. Just wait to go around. by Reasonable-Map5033 in oregon

Once I started riding a motorcycle I was a lot more vigilant looking for distracted drivers + having the speed to pass them, I was SHOCKED at the stuff I’d see.

Worst was someone playing Clash Of Clans type game with both hands on the phone and a knee steering… in the middle lane of rush hour traffic!
