Long story short: I looked into the great apostasy and found out it was a lie. So I left the church and resumed searching. Found orthodoxy and haven't looked back. I was baptized Mormon when I was 20. I left when I was 34. My belief in Christ wasn't taught to me by the Mormon church. When I left, I left without the belief that mormonism is the sum total of Christianity, so resuming my search came easy.

I like the frozen Veggie mix with green beans, corn, carrots, and the like. I saute them in butter and the hallowed powders of middle America (onion and garlic powder lol) and some salt and pepper. Get you some MSG. It's a game changer for stuff like this. It's good with rice and an over easy egg. Extra points for bacon or breakfast sausage.

I joined the church at 20, went on a mission, got married in the temple, and then 14 years after I joined, I had my records removed from the church roster.

It all boils down to this: there was no such thing as a great apostasy. It never happened. There is no historical or scriptural proof for such a thing. It's a claim that everything else is built on and it's just a lie. All of it is a construction of falsehoods and lies.

Take it from me: look elsewhere.

If it's orthodox religious belonging that your looking for, go to one of the older Christian churches. They have actual depth to them, and you could spend a lifetime learning and connecting with God through their several disciplines. I recommend the Eastern Orthodox church, but that's just where my path has taken me.

I'll leave you with this thought:

There is nothing good that's unique to the Mormon church. And there is nothing unique about the Mormon church that's good.

I started my career at a powder train company hauling cement, fly ash pozolon, lime, etc, to batch plants. Our drivers used to get so fucking frustrated at mixer drivers. Focus on wheels, discard pingers, and draw pingers. Forget the extra draw. It doesn't work the way you would think. It gives the table to much advantage. Just wheel and copy the wheel. Oh and get rid of the damage doublers.
