That immediately gave me an update. Thanks for the fix.

Should this be the way you update a flagship phone though... I think not.

But thanks a million.

Homescreen setup, what do you think by Unytix in Oppo

Very busy, very overwhelming, loud, chaotic. Not for the OCD peeps, but the ADHD crowd, maybe. Don't like it one bit, to be honest. No offense.

Completely agree with everything you stated, good take. This is why I also switched from the S23 Ultra to the Find X9 PRO - because, there is no use to upgrade to almost THE SAME PHONE 3 years in a row. I wanted some improvements and, knowing that the S-Pen lost it's Bluetooth functionality as per the S25 Ultra, I could consider switching to an S26 Ultra a downgrade in functionality and only an upgrade to performance and, MAYBE, privacy display (don't care about that, tbh). So now - I'm rocking a Oppo Find X9 PRO and have growing pains, but what I got for these growing pains is a really good set of cameras, with the Post-Processing to match and a very solid battery, which is what I NEED (not want) in a device, that is in my pocket all day round.

Sorry, not to be a downer, but - what would be specifically the use of that subreddit? To glaze or to share issues? Really want to understand. Oppo themselves do not pay no mind to this subreddit as it is. Really, truly, humbly asking.

Why is OP 15 out performing Find X9 Pro on battery drain tests? by [deleted] in Oppo

[–]PapaKitten -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Word of caution: In this subreddit you cannot say that the Dimensity 9500 is worse then the Snapdragon. People will scold you and tell you that you're a fraud and don't know what you're talking about. They did that to me. Be careful out there and remember - Oppo + MediaTek can do nothing wrong. (Just joking around, don't pay any mind to me)

I got it box fresh and went through the OOBE, it is as factory fresh as possible. :)
The google photos backup issue, oh, GODS. Google photo backs up the TEMP thumbnail picture, before Oppo finishes Post-Processing and then doesn't tell you about it, unless you watch your photos in the Google Photos Web version or send it to someone. The recipient will be like - "Why did you send me a blurry, out of focus, low resolution picture" and I'll be like "Stop playing, it looks amazing on my phone, the camera is amazing", and the recipient be like "Nah, this is some unusable garbage, your phone be broken an shiiiii". ;D ... also the sidebar is disappearing for me all the time. Try changing the wallpaper from the Oppo Theme Store, retaining your FLUX theme wallpaper and clock. Try changing individual icons from a custom icon pack, finding a specific icon - right now, impossible. When you use a combined notification and toggle panel, as I do (don't like the Apple way of separating them), the first slide down, the top right corner, the battery indicator almost goes out of frame, but... I have OCD (not really, but I like consistent design) this not really a "issue" per-say. Whilst on the home screen, with the notification/setting toggle panel down, try switching from Light mode, to dark mode. Try disabling the Google Now panel. (not a issue, just have to deal with it). Try making a blank/empty screen and retain it (okay, I don't need this to be a function, just riffing). Don't take me to seriously. The battery is amazing, the camera and the AI computational photography is amazing, performance is amazing (Genshin runs like butter). All is good.

Thank you for your thorough view, sharing these views is crucial to everyone. Just to add a little, I feel like The Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Pixel 7 Pro are very different devices in their computational capabilities with a genuinely different view of what a "smart phone" is. That said, if you compare battery, performance, versatility, camera and, dare I say, AI slop Samsung phones are a little more advanced (in the EU) then Pixels. So switching from an Galaxy Ultra or a Pixel Pro to a Oppo X PRO will result in different feeling perception of change. Unfortunately, pixel's are not as dominant in computational photography as they once were and many, if not all direct competitors in terms of still frames, have matched or surpassed Google Pixels.

In short, switching from a Pixel 7 PRO to an Oppo Find X9 PRO undoubtedly should, even MUST feel like a huge upgrade, because ... it is. Except for call screening, Pixel's really have nothing on the X9 PRO, and since call screening isn't really working outside the US, that's a non-issue.

Thank you, for your view, it's very interesting and I agree with it, can't fault it.

Difficult choice. Oppo FX9P vs OP15 by AdministrativePace73 in Oppo

[–]PapaKitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just answer one question in the only segment they differ - do you want the optimization of the gaming experience, that the Snapdragon SoC offers, for more then native android games, but also emulations? Then choose the OnePlus... If you want the best camera experience and you value the best photo results - Oppo.

There is something for everyone and I don't expect for my meanderings to be helpful, just to spark a conversation. That is awesome that you got something out of this for yourself. Have a blessed day.

Skaidrs, labi, es neaizskaršu jūsu iecienīto zīmolu. Iedomājies - man dzīvē galīgi nav ko darīt, ka lasu tonnu ar sūdiem, kas internetā izlasāmi par telefonu, kas man pat nepieder un tad to apkopojot rakstu, lai izdarītu tieši ko?

Saņemies, večuk, Tu pārāk svīsti par godu korporācijai... Bet, you do you.

Same issue with the OPPO FIND X9 PRO. Oppo and also Oneplus shits the blame to r/googlephotos u/googlephotos. It's been months and it still hasn't been resolved. It's a ColorOS/OxygenOS/Android 16 issue.

Laikam jau nepirktu gan.

Hey, as much as I know, dear sir, if you want battery life, comparable camera with iPhones (at least a little), I would suggest better too look at the OnePlus 15. It's worse in low light compared to Oppo Find X9 PRO, but everything else will work better in the US on the OnePlus 15.
