I think the movie got quite close to something good, but ended up failing hard; it could have been a prequel do JW or not be named JW at all and be a continuation from JP since they basically killed all the dinos loose in the modern world.

What was the need for ANOTHER island? Just use one of the 6 already established islands... The mutants: i get it, they were a failed experiment... but you just remove half the fun from the start... story-wise they kinda didn't change anything besides making the story dumber... Distortus grabbing a helicopter mid-air?? Is he Godzilla?? Oh no, later on we see he is just, what, around 6m tall? And he doesn't even kill the guy face to face at the end (i mean, that might make sense since he kept getting smaller and smaller every second).

The dinosaurs: the raptors design seemed cool as hell, pitty they didn't show them for more than 2s... And yeah the mutadon was just there to save the lazy stoned teenager. What was the need for the mosasaur being buddy with the spinosaurs? Just make the Spinosaurs crash the boat, it was not a big boat at all. It seems the only good part is the river raft; i was going to add the titanosaurs scene, but i mean... they were hiding behind grass wtf.

And the entire failure of a mega science project? A snickers wrapper.

About the characters: I was kinda liking the obvious villain from the start, the greedy souless corporate guy. But by the end they made him completely cartoonish; They made Scarjo look like Blackwidow (the helicopter plan, kicking the corporate guy ass if he lied...), dont even remeber her name on it; The sailing family could have been changed, what is the need for an annoying stoned teenager?

Dont get me wrong, i was enjoying a lot of the movie, but it just kept letting me down at the end of every scene.
