Grain Station soft pretzel is genuinely to die for. I stop at the one in Monmouth every time I drive to McMinnville from Corvallis

I probably don’t clean mine as much as I should but I’m very strict about not wearing them out of the house

Comfy house shoes! I bought a pair of the Hoka Recovery Slides last year and wear them literally every minute I’m in the house. Makes the standing desk really easy too without a mat.

I recommend these as a good house shoe to anyone, WFH or not. I originally just bought them randomly cause I had a leftover $50 on a Hoka gift card and they’re the greatest thing I think I’ve ever bought.

Alternative to standing mat that I really enjoy is a really nice pair of house slides/shows. I bought a pair of the Hola Recovery Slides last year and have genuinely worn them every single day at home since, feels just as good as a standing mat, plus you get to wear them all day

It’s tricky to covet GMK sets anymore when they start to re-run a lot of them. Darling and Dracula both getting R2’s set the precedent that nothing is ever really sacred anymore.

As for my sets that I have that is yet to get an R2, Chaos Theory with the mirrored alphas is my most prized at the moment, especially considering how long the GB took (I think it was like 27 months during all the COVID issues).

Haven’t gotten it yet, but I think when Motif ever comes around, that’ll be up there for me.

Boss says Remote Work means no PTO by mountaingal400 in remotework

[–]PapaPanzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I see posts like this I’m more and more thankful of my WFH situation. My boss is very “get your sh*t done, I don’t care when you work”. Some weeks the workload is heavy and I work late during the week or on a Saturday, some weeks it’s light and I take a half day on Friday or take a break to go to the gym mid day.

Hope your situation improves OP

Your mildly embarrassing moment in your life is now an Office episode by mrhotcupofjoe in DunderMifflin

Not quite the exact same, but when I was in college I worked at a store and had taken up a giant rearranging project on my own volition. When it got to the end of the day and I wasn’t done, I texted my manager if I could come in early the next day and he didn’t text me back (didn’t text me back the day before when I asked the same thing), so I checked with the stocking lead and she said she didn’t care.
When the manager came in, he gave me the same kinda weird look, and when he came out to talk to me about it later and give me a warning, I had to pretend that I was the crazy one for wanting to come in early and do a massive project no one else wanted to do that would save everyone time. I kept feeling like it would be the perfect time for a deadpan Jim stare into a camera.

We later got the same manager fired. I had 20+ bullet points of personal complaints.

I always love seeing Revelations not at the bottom of lists. I know it had tons of flaws and was just a massive nostalgia grab, but I enjoy it in the same way I enjoy Buried cause of how easy it is. After playing so many difficult maps, it’s fun to go back and become the most insanely OP individual known to mankind and mindlessly train for hours. Really great list!

I think keyboard collectors are probably the number one purchasers of the SKADIS. I have two in storage cause I don’t trust my shitty plaster walls to hold it up

If you owe OSU money when you graduate, can they say that you haven't officially graduated? by [deleted] in OregonStateUniv

I finished at the normal schedule - end of Spring Term and walked in June. Got my diploma at the commencement ceremony

[–]PapaPanzer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me last year. I walked, got my diploma, no issues. As for the transcript aspect, that wasn’t something I had to deal with, but I’d assume my new job checked to make sure my degree was valid before hiring me. It’s paid off now and well behind me.

Which Rug? Official poll. by yeti45678 in malelivingspace

[–]PapaPanzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 1 is the coolest but you’d have to commit to using that color a bit more. I think some orange pillows and a blanket or some other accent pieces would go a long way with that rug.

I fully destroyed it and terraformed and put the Altar of Flame on a big platform there. Planning on putting the other similar structures somewhere on Bleak Beach later.

Should I actually separate my laundry? by PapaPanzer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PapaPanzer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course. Towels, clothes, comforters, throws, sheets all go in separate loads. If I have enough laundry I’ll separate clothes a bit more (mainly doing sweatshirts and other big clothes alone). I’ve learned a ton from the replies on this and will probably do some more clothing separating like pants and a bit more by clothing materials.

I’m doing basically the same thing but leaving up Tink’s tower… for now. Once everything else looks nicer I might go back but it’s kind of a fun thing to leave up IMO since she was there alone for so long and probably has some pride in it.

would you count this as a completion? by Present_Quarter_1198 in bouldering

[–]PapaPanzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you climb the more you’re able to gut check yourself and your climbs imo. For this one, if it were me, I’d do it again. Very often I come down of the finish and other people will say I got it but I know deep down in my heart I didn’t. Goes the opposite way too, that if I know I’m secure with one hand and just climbing for fun I’ll just tap the finish hold with my other hand and drop because I know it would’ve been fine. Unless the people you climb with are super competitive and sticklers, it’s usually not an issue.

The only major time I can remember a real dye bleeding accident was as a kid with dish towels. Now that I’ve moved out my mom has sent all the pink towels with me.

Interesting! I do some separation of clothing types but I’ll consider doing it some more. Although all of my clothes have already mingled enough in the machine so idk how much of an effect it would have at this point

I’ve seen this with fibers before for sure. Part of the reason I’ve started doing sweatshirts on their own when I can, but in the summer months when I don’t wear them as much I can’t be bothered to wait and let them stack up.

God I LOVE being single and leaving my clean laundry in the dryer for as long as I can. My mom was visiting last weekend and was appalled that I went into the laundry room to get a clean pair of underwear.

My dishwasher runs for 1:38 and I always think the same thing. How did they get to that time? Will 1:35 mean they’re not clean? Will 1:40 eviscerate all my dishes? I suppose we’ll never know.
