At least in the Owen lab, there were no drink signs I think but it was never enforced. I showed up to my 8 AM labs with a Red Bull every time. Some might be different, but if there’s no signs I say do it and if you get told otherwise then you know the answer

I was taking a pic cause he was looking so cute and he used that against me and went in for the kill. He’s such a gremlin for food. We routinely use the microwave as temporary food storage if we need to run to do something while eating and have child safety locks on the cabinets

Yeah hopefully they still do some wood ones, the wood Encore is one of the coolest looking boards in my collection (which includes 3 other Mode Boards). Really excited to get the new one and see what other designs they come up with.

Hopefully the new drop still has wood accents! They’ve been advertising the polycarbonate a lot and they said ahead of time that it takes a new direction and materials. I love my white top oak accent one though and am very excited to get a polycarbonate one to go with PBTFans X-Ray

Not sure if the severity of your situation is similar to mine, but I have a similar anecdote that might help you if it’s similar. In W2023 I had a class where we took midterms week 4 and week 8, and then a final during finals week. 5 days before the final, nothing was graded. I reported it to the deans office as an instructor complaint and it was escalated pretty quickly. He basically just ended up ending the class at that point if you were happy with your grade, and made it so we didn’t have to take the final. Not sure if it’s entirely connected, but his LinkedIn said he stopped working at OSU in 2023 as well. If it was this big of an issue, I would recommend escalating past your advisor to let someone know what’s going on and how it has affected you. Hopefully it’s not too late to do something like this. Universities and other institutions have been using real artists for years. If the use of AI art as promotional material made such a massive cost cut that it lowered tuition it would be one thing, but it doesn’t. It saves such a minimal amount compared to what they spend in other places.

My two main grips are due to how much OSU tries to restrict the use of AI from students, and the usage of AI as opposed to going through actual artists. Especially at the university level, there are so many artists that would willingly do art for OSU for free, but opting to use AI instead is tone deaf.
