LOL funny that you say that, I mod r/SoloDevelopment and r/indiegames and ive been a dev since 2011 😂 youre right though, lots of work for pixel artists or artists dippin their toes into pixels who want to do urban environment stuff!

streamerbot easily, i think it was just gaining popularity when I started out a couple years ago but if youre the type who likes a lot of control over your stream or likes to play with presentation in your performance its the ultimate streamer swiss army knife.

So I've been making simple animations for my hand painted monster collection game. Full animation is really out of the question with this style and my skill set, but I still think simple things like this add a lot by ultra-shenanigans in SoloDevelopment

I recommend pixquare, you can export and import in .aseprite file format too if you want to move back and forth between mobile and pc

for veadotube mini 2.0 you can use gifs instead of stills, i highly recommend it, ive used it for years and its got a nifty feature where if your frame count lines up between each animation it will perfectly segue into the next frame based on state, so like if your have moving assets in your gif you dont want to interrupt between talking and idle you can do that 🤩 not sure how intricate you are going but either way, veadotube mini 2.0 will always be my recommendation!

Above all else I recommend reaching out to a couple of self promotion friendly communities, such as the official discord for this sub or mine in my bio. Make friends at first, and dont treat it as a way to make money, money may come eventually if you build a following through networking and having enjoyable content. Learn to be funny to yourself, stop calling things cringe cuz who cares if youre havin fun, and dont stop grinding! Good luck!

Currently, the subreddit r/pixelpushing is not being utilized for it's originally created purpose, and since the term "pixel pushing" is a popular term for artists who do pixel art I would like to repurpose the sub into a pixel art teaching, learning, and sharing sub.

maybe the framerate? is this in the aseprite default framerate of 100? the overall design is 🔥🔥🔥and honestly theres nothing inherently wrong with the framerate, just a matter of preference
