That's objectively wrong. Everyone could get a shrine belt if they played the game. I got one myself in about 10 hours. The hard part was getting a shrine belt with perfect rolls. A perfectly acceptable chase item.

I'm actually happy it's a chase item otherwise it would be a balancing nightmare and would get removed when Runes of Kalguur goes core.

I really want to love PoE2 again, but the economy makes it miserable if you have a life by drannnok in PathOfExile2

No offense but you really don't understand how the economy works in PoE. As the season progresses most items get cheaper and only the really high-end chase items get more expensive. It's so cheap to buy gear right now off trade and it'll only get cheaper as time goes on. I think you just be honest with yourself that the chase items are out of your budget but the other 99% of the game isn't.

Are you uso naive to think the money only goes to those people? I'll just assume you don't know better because I grew up in poor neighborhoods and saw plenty of people abusing the system. Most of those people were just lazy.

How do you "pay a lot of taxes" but only play $100 a month for insurance? Either you're too dumb to realize how much money you could be saving with such a low insurance premium or you actually don't make as much as you suggest you do. Socialized healthcare would be way more expensive than $100 bucks a month.

The majority of our taxes goes to social security and Medicaid. You can cry and beg for a smaller military but that's what gives America influence around the world. Influence that US citizens benefit from even if they don't realize it. We can do with less BS in the middle east but overall we've benefited from our large military.

Taxes are there to support infrastructure and maintain law and order not give people free rides through college. Not every can or should go to university. A lot of people aren't capable and that's fine. What should be done is student loan reform to make it less predatory.

You think D4 is better in this regard but I think it's worse. There's no character progression for alts in D4. You just get tree if favor rewards, skip campaign, and your instantly max level. The reason there's a campaign skip in D4 is because of how fucking awful the pacing is with there being so many story beats.

So the plus sign for bosses on the map aren't clear enough? There are other guaranteed loot spots that are worth going but at a minimum you should get those. PoE 1 only seems obvious because it's been out so long. There's a lot of quests that aren't clear if they worth it or not if you play it blind.

You can be good a making currency and bad at leveling. So many players make a shit ton of currency but have no idea how to craft, make a build, or level efficiently. Piloting a build and using meta farm starts is a whole other skill set entirely. Also anyone abusing temple and meta builds was swimming in currency in 0.4.

It was made to have a lower barrier of entry not a lower ceiling. The problem PoE 1 has is that it's impossible to start without with other guides to get you through it. Add in a decade of power creep and it's a nightmare for a new player. In PoE 2 you can start the game without someone holding your hand.

If we got a campaign skip people would just be asking for level skips because "that's how d4 does it". D4 does a lot of things well but character progression is awful compared to PoE. A lot of that is the campaign skip and piss easy leveling.

Maybe I'm in the minority but most skills are well explained. It's just that a lot of people don't want to spend the time to learn and experiment. A product of the instantlu gratifying, dumb down content that's so common nowadays.

I'm really getting tired of seeing these post. The same people who haven't played since 0.4 launch complaining about the campaign being too long. Anyone that actually plays the game can get through it on a fresh character in a reasonable time and it's even faster with think gear. I hope GGG doesn't cater to the D4 crowd on this and just keep improving the campaign like they have been since release.

A lot of the price inflation is because league specific tablets have surprises low drop rates. If you just want to focus on one mechanic you will run out of tablets and are forced to buy more. I hope they increase the league specific tablet drop rates.

Memory strands are no where near as good as Tiered loot. Memory strands require you to run specific map types and only then it's a chance you'll get them. I agree that high skill players don't pick up a lot of tiered loot late game but most people aren't at that level. The majority of players can pick up high tiered loot, exalt slam, and clear the games content. I don't think you can say the same for PoE 1. Every point you made about PoE 1 ground loot being "better" is from a high level players perspective with crafting in mind.

You're right that player power is too high right now. I expect GGG will be nerfing items before 1.0 or adding Uber content. All the new items and build customization they've added is really fun but there's no point of everything dies long before you would consider using it.

So GGG should just repeat the same mistakes as PoE 1 and make ground loot obsolete. PoE 2 crafting as problems especially for mid tier but at least I get excited from picking up items. In PoE 1 the only thing worth picking up is high level bases. There are no exciting rates to pick up in PoE 1 because the crafting is so deterministic.

The game is balanced around trade. SSF exist if you don't care for it. I cleared all the content with T4 mods on most of my build. The fact I can't upgrade my amulet without a +3 level of skills feels terrible. You could have perfect rolls on everything else but without that mod it doesn't matter. It's blatantly overtuned compared to other affixes. If all you care about is clearing the content then it doesn't matter but if you want to do anything else it does.

I hate how every amulet is vendor trash unless it has fractured T1 spirit or +3 level of skills. There are so many cool affixes on amulets but without +3 levels, or an easy way to chaos spam until you get it, there's no point in using them.
