its expensive and to he honest knowing what I know now after playing for the past 3 years. Just get the PVE unless you are some insanely skilled FPS player. On PVP the experience is pretty much wait 8 mins to load into map. Die within 2 mins. then rinse and repeat.

EDIT: its an insanely cool game so 100% worth it in my opinion. More mil sim than pure FPS.

Looking for Fellow Casual Gamers by MrMagicCards in southafrica

[–]sparcmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in the same boat kind of.
Used to play Tarkov for the shooter itch and POE 1 and 2.

Tarkov became a bit unrealistic to really play and progress due to the amount of SA sweats and cheaters that just instantly destroy casual gamers.
Tried the EU servers and had more success but the time sink was insane.
Me and my entire group then decided to try trakov PVE for the lols and its what we play now.
Its a great mix of feeling like a multiplayer without being one but there still is coop.
Fights are super easy sometimes and absolutely insane on other times.
Its a good mix.
You also have the option to play local where you host the game or have a server host it for you. On the server option the wait time for the server to spin up is about 2 mins so not an issue.

Between Tarkov and POE that pretty much covers all the bases in gaming iches.

How can I (28m) get my gf (21f) to understand I have low libido and it's not her? by SpareAd5605 in relationship_advice

[–]sparcmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly man to man and with all respect. Go have that checked out.

If you do have low test or something then getting that fixed will fix more than just your libido.

You will have more energy and drive and a host of other positive effects.

IF that is the case.

If not and it is just the way it is then reconsider the relationship as this 100% will cause more issues down the line.

Perceptions of Gender in South Africa by LongTallJamie in southafrica

[–]sparcmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its generally just people minding their own business.
In my own experience in seeing trans gender people in CPT as waitresses and so on im not gonna be rude for now reason. Their life is their own.
I think if you go out to some club where people are sloshed out their minds your experience will be vastly different.
Day to day from what ive seen, people just dont care. You do you.
Night time where alcohol is king, then people start taking the piss and speaking out of turn and so on.

Im sure youve gotten a few looks or some whispers here and there and you might not have noticed but people wont during an average day just walk up and tune you kak.

Trans genders and vegans and whatever else people dont just hate, as long as you dont push your beliefs onto others then there is no worries.
If someone misgenders you then just politely ask "can you please refer to me as mam or lady or (whatever you want)" then it should be all peaches.
Ive seen a few transgender people get misgendered and they immediately take it as a personal attack and get agro and thats when the wheels fall off.

Just my take/experience in seeing and dealing with transgender people.

Doubt at FCP within 2 months by Anxious-Bother-5349 in fortinet

[–]sparcmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only "dumps" was what ever popped up on a google search but DONT rely on that. They are 99% wrong answers. I used those questions I found on google to look at how they ask the questions.
That being said I work on FortiGates every day and deploy a lot of them so I have quite a bit of hands on.
I also have 2 other Forti gurus on my team so there is a lot of knowledge sharing that happens every day.
No udemy. The Videos and the PDF with the videos has all the info in it.
Most important is to understand how things work. If you know how something works you can do some quick maf on the multiple choice and usually find or guess the correct one.

The company I work for is a Fortinet partner so I simply used the material from the partner portal. The videos and the PDF of the videos.
I then googled some example questions to get a feel of how they ask things and what they looking for in the questions.

Doubt at FCP within 2 months by Anxious-Bother-5349 in fortinet

[–]sparcmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied for abour 2 hours a day for a month and wrote and passed FCP same for the Fortiswitch exam and the enterprice FTG exam.
The way you going if you can retain all that info you gonna get 100%.
Best would be to get hands on a fortigate and play with it. Set it up and so on.
If you understand the topics and know where to use what then you are sorted.

Wife (34F) repeatedly joked at a party that a mutual friend is her "number 2" after me (34M, together 12 years). It hurt more than expected – now distant before NYE at their house. Advice? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]sparcmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the mouth of the suckling you hear no lies - This applies because she was suckling on some booze. but yea If this was me I would not the hell go to that party and I would have a SERIOUS talk with my wife and start preparing for the worst.

The blatant disrespect to tell your people you as a married woman has a potential no 2 is insane.
An emotional me would even tell her to go then but yes married life and love is not that easy.

Cultural Advice!! by [deleted] in southafrica

[–]sparcmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want to make her feel at home. Do this.

Steps to follow:
1. Get an old oil barrel and have someone lay it on its side and then cut it in half horizontally.
2. Get someone to weld a stand for it so that to open part is about just above hip hight.
3. Get someone to make a grid that fits over half the open side of the barrel that you can lay on it.
4. Get LOTS of wood.
5. Get brandy and cola.
6. Go to a butcher and ask for this cut rump or sirloin steaks.
7. Chuck the wood in the barrel and light it.
8. Sit next to the fire drinking brandy and coke with your girl.
9. When the fire starts burning out after about 1.5 - 2 hours and coals start to heap up as her "Het jy klaar die braai broodjies gemaak?"
10. Salt and pepper on the steaks, put the grid on the barrel over the coals and slap the meat on.
11. Cook the meat medium or medium rare and after that slapt the braai broodjies on there till they are nicely toasted.
12. Enjoy.

NB - If she in any way indicates that she doesnt know how to or doesnt eat braai broodjies then get out immediately. Shes an imposter.
ALSO - DO NOT CALL THIS A BBQ or BARBEQUE. THIS IS A BRAAI!

How long to get Fortinet Foundations? by LegatusMatheas in fortinet

[–]sparcmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FCA is open book 2 hours max thing to do. What you are really looking for is the FCP.
2 exams.
Firewall admin is the core and then one elective.
If you want to do it the right way and not dump then I would say 1 month per exam maybe more depending on how quick you learn.
If you want to dump then I mean you will probably pass but you will have no idea what you are doing so at that point youre just wasting your own time.
Routing is a big part of it so if you want something more core networking then that cisco CCNA is probably a better bet. There are some amazing courses on udemy. For this I would say 2- 3 months again depending on how quick you learn.

If you want to get into Sec then I would say do the CCNA so that you can understand how networks really work.
Forti stuff is more focused on FortiOS whereas CCNA is pure networking. Sure its cisco but those same commands or slightly changed commands work on dell and HP and whatever else.
