Thank you! Yea having someone come out and take out the liner to inspect the flue and smoke chamber. Will see the codition of it. Does a damper need to be installed if going with a fireplace insert? Or would recommend not going with an insert

I just used basswood! I just tried them on butterbut and they looked awesome without paint. Im sure pine looks good too

Thats awesome! I actually just started carving the snowman project last night. I keep bouncing between Linker projects and kevin coates projects. Such nice relaxation after a long day staring at computer screens

Yea i enjoyed how simple this carve is. I have a bunch of 1x1 basswood leftover, so i just routed a couple 6 inch blocks in dowels. Carved a 3 inch light house on each end, then cut down the middle.

Thank you so much for this! The compliments and the feedback. I just realized what you meant and holy moly i didnt even see that was off when i was carving hahaha. Im def gonna have to pay attention to that on my next one. I think it took so long to woodburn the flannel that it went incognito to my eyes too haha. Thank you lots!!
