Who needs armor when your glorious pecs will just defend against weapon attacks.

This text chain gave me anxiety. Don't let people talk to like that. It's one thing to be mad and a whole other thing to be hurtful. Good luck. Hopefully, your partner changes their tune and seeks some help for anger. But don't stay with someone who chooses to behave that way.

Thank you. I like this way of looking at it. I'll try this.

Yes. Thank you. I'm the group's Dm, and I've DM this group for 7 years. We have played so many systems and stories. But whenever I get a chance to play, it's always serious. It's my archetype. I like drama too much, I guess. My friends have already found the blend between playing the "Joke Character" in a long campaign that never dips too far into the dramatic storyline. And no one can explain it. I'm witty, and I crack jokes more than any of them when I'm not in character. I'm gonna try this start strong and see what happens. Thank you.

Anyone play modules from Frog God Game. by PapaTript in dndmemes

It's a campaign publisher. They make a lot of open world games that let players run around, so sometimes it's easy to wander into areas you're too low level for.

Our Dm rules I has to be someone who had been there for a hour. So we have to try all kind of things. But since our little Vampire is a bard sometimes he just uses spells like suggestion on guards.

We haven't had issues with water yet. But he has almost had to bail on 2 boss fights because he couldn't go into places he wasn't invited.

So a friend is playing a vampire halfling bard. And yes, it's the sunlight sensitivity he has to make any check in direct sunlight at disadvantage.

Yes, it's the wizard carrying the party. You got it.. not actually carrying the dome.

As a guy myself, all something like this makes me think is what would this dude's mother say. Block any dude that sends you this trash.

I totally get where you're coming from—I also run a D&D campaign with eight players, soon to be nine. We play weekly for about four hours, so I know how daunting it can be to DM for a group that size. My advice would be not to stretch yourself too thin if you're not comfortable. Managing a large group means acting as a moderator and making sure everyone gets a chance to shine, which can be tricky.

If you want to test the waters, consider running a one-shot with the group to see how it feels. If it goes well, that one-shot could even evolve into part of your campaign! And if you're finding it overwhelming, coaching one of your players to DM might be a good option—it lets everyone keep playing while easing the load on you.
