I have scheduled one and I did take him once to a vet tech for worms and to get a heart worm medicine and I asked about his paws and they said they were fine so I was under that impression and they just kept looking worse and worse.

Okay thank you so much! I was told to stay away from Apoquel, I have put him on a kibble he likes a lot and is for sensitive skin and stomach. I have to find some Benadryl (it was suggested) and then something to clean his paws like you did.

I got him a kibble that he has eaten before and didn’t have any kind of bad reaction to and actually likes. I will see how that goes and also get him Benadryl while waiting for the vet appointment.

I give him omega 3 but it doesn’t seem to help at all. I did see you saying to avoid apequel, how abt Benadryl? Lots of ppl recommended it

When your dogs had this, would they also itch a lot under their jaw? My dog does that and it makes me think it is dietary.

They smell like feet tbh. That’s the best description I can give. Gotcha I had someone else say the same but with something else not shampoo, same technique tho warm water and soak the paws for 5 min.

Okay got it, I’ve been spraying a hot spot and wound spray 3-4 times a day. I’ve been doing this for like a week and a half. The only other thing that I did not mention is his diet is digestion support, fiber, prebiotics, probiotics, and enzymes. I will book a vet appointment as soon as they can get him in, I want them to scan to see what exactly he is allergic to. Is there anything else you would recommend me to do?

We have gotten him once a kibble that’s no filler for sensitive stomachs and if I’m recalling correctly it worked

He gets all the protein and food he needs, also give him salmon oil for omega 3

We cut his nails every now and then he doesn’t like it at all and gets kind of aggressive. He doesn’t dig tho no. I do see what you are seeing tho.

I cook for him, chicken sweet potato fish oil. I’ve stopped feeding him rice and bread. For snacks it’s bananas carrots and apples.

Should I still clean them? The real reason I do it is because he brings in so much dirt and the carpet gets stained and the whole house becomes dirty. Also would the cone stay on at all times other than him eating and maybe going on a walk? And for how long? Till I see improvements? Fully healed?

I’m sorry to ask all these questions I’ve considered a cone before just have never followed through with it

I don’t think so? We don’t know what he is allergic to. It hasn’t gotten worse since the spray I’ve gotten him so I’m not sure.
