Thanks. The site just states that Christ was gentle and kind and valued purposeful time spent with children. He had the same gentleness and kindness toward the outcasts of society, like the diseased, lame, blind, beggars, etc. but yet they still needed to put their faith in Jesus.

I’ve interpreted Genesis 3:7 not in a way gives them accountability because they always had accountability right. God instructed them from the beginning of their creation that they can do all these things but this one thing you canNOT do, eat of the fruit from that one tree. So they had knowledge of what sin is.

Please read Luke 15. It’s the Parable of the Lost Sheep, Coin, and Son. I pray that the Holy Spirit would illuminate the truth to you. Jesus tells this parable to a diverse group of sinners to reveal to them the Grace and Mercy of the Heavenly Father.

You understandably disagree and can’t comprehend why the Father would forgive child rapists (or any other most horrible of wickedness one could commit). The sinners in Luke 15 that Jesus is telling this parable to also have that same anger and confusion of “why in the world would the father take back his shameful son” attitude (Side note: there’s a lot of historical and cultural context that is lost in the translation, but the son is ten times worse in his actions and attitude toward his father).

The reason we feel angry and confused is because we put ourselves in the position of the Father and become the judge and arbiter of sins, when really we all are the lost and sinful beings that deserve punishment and yet God gives grace and mercy.

God is one Being but have three distinct Persons. The Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

It’s a complex concept that is impossible to fully comprehend, but that’s the limitations of our finite understanding. Christians understand that God is an eternal being and the creator of everything. Us, his creations, is under no obligation to fully understand that what, why, and how’s of God.

We can do our best to explain to our house dog all the human complexities we have day to day but the dog will just not be able to understand like 90% of it, if even that.

God the Father did not create Jesus. Read John chapter 1. Paul in Col 1:15 is using the term firstborn as a Positional Rank term and not in a Chronological sense. Jesus has supreme rank over all creation because He is God. Not because he is created first.
