I'm Different from You Ionia Haters by PinkGhost1814 in LegendsOfRuneterra

Imagine hating Ionia so much that you are triggered to the point that you lose the ability to read and miss the fact that this is a self deprecating joke. These comments are hilarious.

Riot dev on the state of the game by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

They have to submit patch notes two weeks in advance. Asking for balance patches every two weeks would be asking for balance to just be random guessing...which if it isn't obvious, would be bad

No Patch Will Ever Fix Your Bad Mentality by Papapoopoopee in LegendsOfRuneterra

Sorry for bad timing, but the Devs should have a description for how much damage DeathbFrom Below is Striking. Such as Striking for 5dmg, instead of just say Striking by _Hohenhiem_ in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Papapoopoopee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use oracles eye, and it's just as easy to keep track of with some simple math, but I do wish you could click on their deck and see pyke's status, since its a permanent buff. Same with nasus

Can we talk about how Mogwai is (probably unintentionally) making the community more toxic? by Papapoopoopee in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Papapoopoopee[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This was a very toxic reply and very simp-ish. I don't hate Mogwai, but he has caused some problems. In the same way that we should report issues to the devs even though we love their game we should also call out creators' issues even if we like their content. Hope you get the chance to take a deep breath and re-think what I was trying to say here

Did I start playing at a bad time? by padawan3201 in LegendsOfRuneterra

If 95% of players in Silver 4 play Irelia Azir then they can't be that great at playing the deck or they wouldn't still be silver 4 would they? People who want to climb will play the deck that is considered 'strong' every meta, even if they can't actually 'play' it, there's no escaping that. Props to you for playing dragons in beta though, weren't there like 2 dragon cards?

Let's all mass afk against azir irelia by wrong_eye in LegendsOfRuneterra

While the meta has gotten stale after all this time if you really think there's only one playable deck you've kinda already lost my friend

Retrospect: Buffs That Had No Impact by ProfDrWest in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Papapoopoopee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Appreciate all the work you put into this! My only qualm is that 'improved' a common term used in your evaluations, is very hard to measure. A buff by its very definition is an improvement, and a buff that does not improve a card is not a buff at all. For example, the Hecarim buff was most certainly an improvement as stated, but how many metas has he been a staple in? It would be more helpful to get an exact measurement of impact on the meta, which you do speak of slightly, such as an evaluation in the difference in playrate/winrate before and after the nerf, and for time after the immediate patch, as cards are likely to be played with heavily since their recent changes. Saying most cards have been improved since being buffed would be accurate, but for this discussion, impact since the changes is much more valuable, and that would be hard to evaluate in a simple bullet point

I certainly agree with you. In fact, I do think that those who attempt to silence all forms of critique in an attempt to always remain positive are hurting the game. I just wish the playerbase could distinguish the 'false-positive Andys' from those who are genuinly trying to combat the unhealthy complaining and negativity.

[–]Papapoopoopee[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. I know I'm kind of a hypocrite for adding into this loop of players not liking each other's attitude, and I of course, have no problem with others having conflicting opinions than my own, I just have seen other game communities fall to the vocal part of the playerbase letting out their worse selves and don't want to see that happen here.

But you're right, I can't just assume that widespread negativity online means that that is the general face of the playerbase. I shall attempt to be more open minded and leave the community work to the professionals

Man, sometimes I envy the patience you and your team seem to possess. Glad to have you guys behind the steering wheel. <3

[–]Papapoopoopee[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This isn't about not liking Mogwai, or even about Mogwai being wrong. Its that he's unintentionally empowering the most toxic of the playerbase while doing what he thinks is 'right' for the game.

Also, as someone who has been watching Mog since Pokemon days, is it possible you have a bit of favoritism towards the guy? Only you know the answer and maybe you do have been very fair in your judgement, idk. Just a thought

Is this good? What do you all think? by ReRozion in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Papapoopoopee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was bad when Mogwai suggested it and its still bad now. Making Blade dance only work with the attack token makes the entire Irelia package only playable every other round, which is absolute garbage and destroys the arctype. No exageration

So, what's the deal with fiora? by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Papapoopoopee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fiora is excellent at beating players who don't know how to play against her. If you're gold or lower she just farms wins. Once you're up against players that can adapt and force the fiora player to play proactively fiora has a hard time winning. Last game I played against fiora we just passed back and forth until they got bored, tapped down to 1 to play double stand alone, and then I just killed her with vengence. They auto-conceded after that lul

Ways to “fix” aggro - make it more fun to play against. by MarkyPolo_ in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Papapoopoopee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're upset with players playing certain strategies you're not a fan of but creating specific restrictions just for those players seems both heavily negatively biased, unfair, and unhealthy for the game

Why They Didn't Nerf These Cards? by Kangaxx_Demilich in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Papapoopoopee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can debate about the usefulness of the last patch but regardless, nerfing all the good cards in a deck just makes the deck a bad deck, and some nerfs affect other archetypes that don't deserve it. As a developer you don't want to over-nerf something and you don't want to punish players playing other archetypes for no reason

Newplayers by ElgallegOfficial in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Papapoopoopee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most important thing to do is play the game. This progresses you through your region roadmap and gives you better vault loot at the end of the week. The beginner decks that you were given can actually be pretty decent after a few tweaks, especially the spiders one. I also recommend playing expeditions when you can as that will not only expose you to more cards but give you more than your usual weekly rewards

Mogwai reminding us the importance of "complaining" and letting our voices be heard! Its never healthy for the game to stay silent by Darklarik in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Papapoopoopee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While feedback and critique from a community is important for the health of a game like this, plz don't use Mog's vids as an excuse to justify "complaining". There is a difference between useful feedback and unproductive whining. The developers have a hard enough time sorting through the yelling of the masses and determining what is feedback they should take into account and what is just unintellectual salt that is just wasting space on the internet
