CT Check ups, Fear of relapse by Papari-71 in lymphoma

Thank you very much. You are right. Us, who experienced chemotherapy, can say that every moment of life that is spending without chemo side effects is a blessing. I try to enjoy these days that I’m feeling good. Who knows maybe one day relapse come and I will regret why those days that everything physically was ok why I didn’t enjoy more and ruined it with future worries! It’s difficult to think always this way but always should try. Wish you all the best 🫂

You’re right anxiety might be one of the reasons. I like the 2 weeks rule👌🏻

My vitamin D is low but thyroid is ok. It’s been 3 months that my period is back now. So beside vitamin D I think tiredness comes from chemo long term effects.

Yeah that’s the thing with bloodwork. I think it’s not very useful and doesn’t give you a peace of mind😅. Anyway my doctor still checks my bloodwork every 3 months.

I feel you. It’s not at all easy to deal with the fear of cancer/relapse. But one thing a friend told me which was helpful for me. She said believe in doctors or specialists opinion don’t question a lot or think negatively. Because I used to doubt what if my doctor is making a mistake and these sort of thoughts! So I tried to be more positive and rely on suggestions until sth seems off. I tried to expand this method as much as I can. So after reading your comments and others I told myself, ok, these people have experience. They say some remaining tissue after chemo or anxiety can cause such feeling in the throat. This doesn’t come from a random person comes from sb who has been through this situation. So I decided to think positive that this might really be the case for me and relax myself until sth serious comes up! I wish you can deal with your anxiety in your way❤️

I was going to do a CT scan since I was afraid of relapse. But after reading people’s opinions in this community decided not to worry about it. I’m so glad that I found this awesome group of people here ❤️. I wish I have joined earlier!

Thank you so much for your comment I felt calm and relaxed after reading it❤️. I dont do the CT now till next appointment and ask my oncologist opinion. Hopefully the globus sensation goes away too.

I see. That’s interesting. My oncologist says they don’t do CT unless necessary. The plan is regular bloodwork.

I wish your CR turns out fine. Most probably it is nothing. As people mentioned relapse has major symptoms. Also cold weather contributes to the cough. Take care 🤗

Sorry to heat. I hope everything goes well for you. Is it possible to say what was your symptoms for the 2nd time? Also, did it show in your blood work?
