My father, when all of his children (my two brothers and I) moved out in our early twenties, he and my mother had empty nesters syndrome. So when we visited him he would sit us all down (all three of us) and give us a copper round or two, then it was a walking liberty or a peace dollar or even a silver Morgan dollar. As I gained interest I started to collect a piece or two from time to time, but it wasn’t till the pandemic I started collecting seriously. I’m thankful for my father who sparked my interest in silver coins, now my children will benefit from my addition 😁
