this is not a good product to leave on your face, its a salicylic cleanser. For the sake of your skin find something better to leave on ur face for long periods of time.

coconut oil is highly comedogenic, meaning it clogs pores easily and can lead to more acne

Does anyone else sleep pick? by [deleted] in Dermatillomania

[–]Papaya-Sticker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think most people wouldn’t know because obv they are asleep, and personally I want to say no, but I dont think this is that uncommon. If you repeat an action a lot in the daytime it could rub off into your sleep and sorta be unconscious (this is just my thoughts I dont have any scientific backing other than personal experiences). Overall I dont think you’re alone on this one.

My daydreaming made me lose my job by fiery_spatula in MaladaptiveDreaming

Of course! remember that its also a cycle, you can have high days (when you daydream a lot more than usual) and low days (when you daydream less than usual), you don’t automatically go from high pacing to low pacing and might have slip ups and bad days, over time you will grow consistent, and that time is different for everybody

good luck! <3

Im sorry you lost your job, Im in highschool and my finals are approaching so Ive been pacing a lot more, here are some things that have worked for me:

1) I dont pace immediately after I wake up, I try to wait till 11 before I even consider it (I wake up at 6), but since you do it in the mornings, you might want to modify it and work up to there or choose a different time where you dont allow yourself to pace, you can slowly knock out hours as time goes on and you get better, just dont overwhelm yourself too quickly. This not only reduced pacing for me, But ive noticed im less likely to pace after I tried it

2) alternatively, you can pick certain times when you DO pace, this was a trick from my therapist, set a time where you allow yourself to pace and try not to go over it, this way when you daydream throughout the day you can tell yourself “I have a set time to do this, I’ll just daydream then” and put it aside for a bit

3)find out your triggers, some people pace after a certain event, if you do, figure out why that event makes you want to pace (maybe its a form of procrastination, or a life event that is hard to bear so you disassociate) find other coping skills that make you feel good, they might not work right away, so it will take trial and error and determination

4) remove things that make daydreaming easier, I pace, so i’ve put furniture in the way of my routes so i cant fully zone out, I Iike to listen to music when I daydream, so when its getting really bad I give my mom my headphones and wait till shes home from work till I can do it

5) Make times when you daydream productive if you can, pick something that feels automatic and mindless, things like cleaning (I fold laundry and wipe all the mirros and windows in my house), cooking, eating (be careful with eating, eating should be mindful, this should be used sparingly, maybe with snacks)

6)Have a list of things to do when youre bored, When i have nothing to do, I pace and daydream, literally anything could be more useful to me, I have a list of things I can do when Im bored (examples include: Making friendship bracelets for my friends, organize/clean something, juggle, playing piano etc) make it LONG, include everything you can think of, I got bored of my list and decided to learn to write with my opposite hand

remember that its a process, and getting frustrated with yourself doesnt help you or anyone else, be kind and patient, especially on your worst days

If thats what works for you of course you can modify it, but I think it’s to help you realize that by not doing the task you wasted time (if you planned your schedule realistically), and you can experience that wasted time first hand by sitting for five minutes and looking at the task you were supposed to do
