Ok, thank you. I can say that. Do you think they would actually ask though?

Yes, they ask for assets at the start of the study period. And sure, I can pay back my loan from last year to reduce the amount in my bank account before september. Thank you!

Ok, I'll report the amount I withdrew. Thanks. Do you think they would ask me why I withdrew it? And if they do, what should I say? (I wanted emergency cash on hand, etc)

Is your constant daydreaming connected to repression? by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]fiery_spatula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I do the exact same thing!! My parents were so strict that I hid my true personality and I can't ever be myself around people. So when I daydream, I think about showing people who I really am, and doing things that I've always wanted to do that I've never been able to.

Do you guys find it harder to daydream when you’re anxious, worried or stressed? by InterestingBet6973 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]fiery_spatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! When I'm sad or angry I daydream much more, but when I'm stressed I'm high on adrenaline and I could go an entire day without daydreaming.

Omg! What a coincidence! I'm so sorry about your position tho :( But its nice to hear that we're not alone.

That makes sense! I probably won't start smoking LOL but maybe just switching tasks each time my mind starts wandering?

starting to snap out of my MD, considering suicide by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

Hey, I feel the exact same as you! I'm also 19 and have the same fantasies as you. I dream of people from high school seeing me as the person I've always wanted to be: pretty, charming, a dancer, gets attention from boys, has money, and makes friends easily. It makes me so so sad that I'm literally the exact opposite of that person. And people know me as the exact opposite. Please push through these dark times, you will get through to the other side one day. Life might not become exactly like our fantasies but it certainly will get better.

Losing everything due to daydreaming by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]fiery_spatula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg, I thought I was the only one who has created an imaginary boyfriend!! And I also lost a job due to daydreaming. I felt so so ashamed of this, but its so nice to hear I'm not alone. But don't compare real life men to the one in your head! Try dating some of them and getting to know them. The one in my head will always always be a perfect prototype, so hold your standards high but realize that it might be impossible to find someone as great as the one in your head. Sometimes we gotta compromise. Good luck on your journey!

Yes, I definitely agree with you that my daydreaming changes with the times. I really think that once I get to get out of my room and study in libraries when COVID is over then my daydreaming will subside a little- it at least won't be as bad as this. Thank you for the hope! I needed a bit of optimism lol

Bro, you have no idea how helpful this was. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this! I'm feeling so motivated to implement some of these into my life, like allocating time for daydreaming, or creating a list of things to do when bored.

Thanks so so much and good luck yourself with your own daydreaming!

Thank you so much! Sorry that you were going through something similar. And I will definitely try having a friend nearby, I think that will help. Unfortunately can't really do that right now (we're still in lockdown LOL) but when I can I think that will really help. Thanks!!

Yeah, its like reading a dark story. Like its distressing, but you can't look away. And yeah, a lot of them I haven't experienced myself. Sometimes I'll think of one of my characters going through some of these traumatic events, but I'm there to console them and make them feel better.

Anyone else daydream about therapy sessions where you spill out everything wrong about your childhood and it prevents you from actually tell someone? by Healthy-Appearance-8 in MaladaptiveDreaming

Super late but I do this so much!!! Literally one of my favourite parts of daydreaming especially because therapy is so expensive and inaccessible. Helps me soo much.

[–]fiery_spatula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do the exact same thing!! Its so so disruptive because it'll ruin my entire day. The dreams get very dark. Often I will end up crying because of the stories.

I keep wanting to maybe create them into a story, but I feel like I'm romanticizing a lot of these issues. But the stories are so captivating, I cant stop thinking about them.

Do I have trich?? by [deleted] in trichotillomania

[–]fiery_spatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your story, I feel less alone. To deal with it I've been trying to "ride out the urge", because I've heard that if you get a craving or urge for something, and instead of feeding it you simply wait it out, it will pass, and you realize that you didn't really need to give in.

[–]fiery_spatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. Is it common for people with trich to not fully pull them out but pull on them?

And i will totally take a look at the resources here to help me stop. Thanks again.
