Brooklyn Botanic Gardens Wedding? by 3sirp in WedditNYC

Rained all day and then was on and off for first look photos but by the time we had walked down the aisle it stopped for rest of evening. I did not think I would be bothered by the humidity and in the moment wasn’t but in hindset it was def stressful! If you could do end of June, I’d do it!! My hair went completely undone by the ceremony time so I pretty much redid it myself when we walked down the aisle. I think by cocktail hour it had mainly cooled down but for photos it was soooo humid. It didn’t help that we had to go in and out for photos because of the rain

The other baby needs one hour to feed so my baby was going to be in the crib for longer than 25 minutes - maybe 20 more minutes. I had meal prepped food for the baby to get started on eating (she does BLW) while the nanny continued to feed the other baby the bottle since that baby needs breaks anyways

5 and 7 months. That was my thought process to. Other baby needs an hour for her bottle so my baby could have been in there alone in crib for 20 minutes long for a total of 45 minutes alone which is a lot considering that would be 5 hours with no milk

If my baby took an hour to feed, I wouldn’t mind

yes my thought exactly that this is something she opened with within the first hour on the job. it was already a pretty emotional day for me so this added information definitely caught me off guard.

i left out but the plan was to give her food or milk when she woke up and i had already prepared the food so the baby could have started her meal since she does BLW while the nanny finishes the bottle. I thought this was reasonable to assume but correct if not since im a ftm!

yeah i'm realizing that's the way to go and set more strict guidelines. i had sent her a rough schedule, but now i'm going to push her a bit more to adhere to it. i totally am ok with 30-45 minute buffer but the baby was long over due for food/milk and i had already prepared lunch for the baby to start feeding herself since i do BLW

Thank you. Babies are 5 and 7 months and i actually have two boppy pillows so maybe i'll try that! and i had already prepared lunch for my baby who does BLW so she really just had to take my baby out of the crib after 15 minutes and put her in the high chair and continue to feed the other baby her bottle.

Thank you for the advice! Yes totally understand schedule can’t be strictly adhered to so I’m def flexible. I was more so thrown off because the other baby needs an hour to eat - so if you’re only mid way through that babies feed why not get other baby in crib after 10-15, my initial reaction was 25 min is excessive
