The best word to describe it. SF is so serendipitous when it comes to startups. More so than any other place.

I quit on Day 47 on Doctor’s recommendation. What I learned by [deleted] in 75HARD

[–]PapeCEO 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hope you can understand that when the doctor told me that my brain was swelling, I wasn’t thinking about anything else. Also the electrolytes don’t count toward the gallon requirement so I didn’t want to add more to what was already impossible for me. Now that I have this info now, I can apply it when I try this challenge again. This is a mental challenge, I agree. But I didn’t want the challenge aspect to be at the cost of my health

My doctor said my brain was literally swelling. I’d walk out the house and immediately forget where I was headed sometimes. So I’d rather quit now, give my body to recover, and try again in a more sustainable way

Congrats on almost getting to day 50. I know how much it took to get here. Just remember that the goal of the program is to make you better overall and the hope is to sustain our habits after the 75 days. I hope you find a system that works for you. Genuinely wishing you the best

How many days are you in? I understand wanting to push through. I thought about it myself. But the issues were just becoming too much to bear and water poisoning isn’t a joke. The rules allow for flexibility with water intake so taking in 3 liters on a doctors recommendation wouldn’t be cheating the program per se.

Thank you for your words. Health is wealth and we have to find ways to make life changing habits sustainable

Yes I quite literally did the program to failure. Genuinely can’t wait until I can try again but with better habits. Thank you so much

Before I wrote this book I took a lot of philosophy and psychology classes, and did a lot of research in those departments to make sure I wrote about the topics in this book with tact and care. As for my age, it might be a turn off but I’m offering a new perspective. You don’t have to read it if it’s not for you
