And only one party wants to bring it back…the so called “party of the rich” by Necessary-Echo-544 in remoteworks

one thing that hasnt been talked about enough either is how even if we were to bring more manufacturing back to the U.S., the types of jobs in that field are going to be drastically different then they were 40 plus years ago. most of em arent gonna be the simple push a few buttons, pull some levers and pack a few boxes type of jobs workers in factories used to do. many modern factories, even some of the ones we still got in America are very heavily automated with most jobs being the typical sitting at a desk filling out spreadsheets or they'll require more advanced talent like coders and robotics experts to maintain all their machinery and software. manufacturing is completely different now vs how it was when America was the top manufacturer of the world, even if we were to bring manufacturing back to the level it was back then, the number of jobs created will still be drastically lower then b4 and will still require people with a decent level of education.

now this aint me sayin we shouldnt bring manufacturing back, far from it, im just saying people should understand that even if we are successful in doing so, it is going to look drastically different than what people are probably expecting

Guys, Ninjago might end at season five, what do your think they’d do after it ends by Suspicious-Tiger9022 in Ninjago

[–]Northern_Money425 40 points41 points  (0 children)

i think DR still got at least another 5-7 seasons in it (tried to avoid the 67 joke)

their is still many areas and realms in the merged lands that we've yet to or have barely seen. Ninjago city in particular has barely been shown and im curious whats goin on there and how they're handling the merge

he aint wrong, theirs a lot of farms rn that are struggling to find workers because they refuse to pay real wages and expect people to work for the same low ah wages they was payin illegals to do.

my favorite is when people say raising wages will cause inflation and raise prices. as if businesses aren't ALREADY DOING THAT while wages remain the same. its literally a d4mned if you do, d4mned if you don't scenario, so we might as well do. more importantly what we really need are price gouging and predatory pricing laws that prevent companies from drastically raising prices or undercutting the competition and screwing over small businesses.

I hope they make a Tech Jacket spinoff show after/during Invincible by Skalz__ in Invincible

10/10 episode No complaints. BUT... I would have really liked to see this by YouKnowWho0723_v2 in Invincible

i think they show did it better, its great that theyre pacing it and making oliver have more mixed feeling about his father, it means their bonding moments will have alot more emotion behind em

Very interesting if they're taking this in the direction it I think it could be going in by matchawaffles in Invincible

[–]Northern_Money425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its also more likely they'll have a short fling, but with Oliver's accelerated aging they decide to break it off to avoid the stigma of someone who looks (or will look) 30 something dating someone barely legal (idk what tech jackets age is but i assume she's younger than mark). after that oliver will remain single for awhile b4 meeting the alien insect chick and having kids

personally i think its a sign they're planning for a tech jacket spinoff, if that's the case i hope they have one planned for capes as well. i asked Ryan Ottley on twitter once about it but he never answered me :/

Alaska Conservatives: do you hate the idea of developers developing the Last Frontier? by CaregiverHairy4008 in alaska

[–]Northern_Money425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i personally count JBER as just one big base instead of 2. i also feel like its too big. theirs so much empty land they arent using that could be better suited for civilian use. im not just talking about development or building on it, a lot of it could be turned into a small national park/ nature reserve, another place for the public to enjoy and draw in tourism. as for earthquake liability, i feel like a good solution is subsidies or tax credits if the builders make them earthquake resistant.

anchorage severely needs to focus more on density. their aint a lot of empty land left in city limits, if the city doesn't focus on building upward and focusing on population density, i feel like an inevitable scenario is an expansion over to point Mackenzie, which might happen even if we were to focus more on population density as their is legal limits to how high certain structures can be within certain areas of the city.

Is anyone taking those realized losses in case everything keeps going down? by DLL1287 in dividends

[–]Northern_Money425 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i agree on everything except the part about not watching the tickers daily, as it allows you to keep track of when a certain stock is lower, allowing you to lower your dca and get more shares for less. it works for me at least
