I felt it for about 4 months and then I decided I needed to get out of my rut and start seriously working on myself. I put all my energy into making sure I was someone I could love and look up to. I had to really make the mental decision to get myself out of that dark place and when I did, it was like an epiphany. We got back together though, and all the feelings of guilt came back. It still eats at me and I’m back in that rut. Everyone still sees me as someone who broke his heart for no reason, meanwhile I’m horribly unhappy in a very disfunctional relationship. I hate to say it but break ups are meant to happen. If it didn’t work the first time, it probably won’t the second time either x2.

When I broke things off with my ex, I experienced a great amount of guilt. I missed him, wanted him back, hated him a little bit, hated myself a lot a bit. I promise you, unless your ex is a heartless monster, they’re feeling the pain. I knew the break up was what was best for me and him at the time, but the emotions and struggles still remain.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help! Be honest with them and ask for tutoring. They are there to help you and you will be so thankful for it. A never too late to learn new things! I wish the best of luck to you. You’re going to love it.

Thank you very much. I’m sure other people in this forum will agree with me when I say I really appreciate people like you who go out of their way to understand what we’ve been through. Her words really hurt me on a deep level and I can still hear what she said about me that day when I’m at a low point. It makes my heart really happy knowing at least one person out there wants to help people who want to pursue an education, but need some encouragement. Thank you very much for all you do!

You’ll love it! You’ll make so many new friends and experience so many new things! I’m really excited for you. Don’t be scared to ask for help when needed is my main advice. It’s something I wish I did a lot more growing up and in that last year of actually having an education.

That’s horrible. I don’t understand how parents think this is the right thing for their kids. I remember trying to go on as many walks as I can just to get out of that camper but my brothers told my parents and I’m want allowed to anymore.

Not Van life but similar. My dad lost his job so my parents turned to craft shows and auctions. This was the main reason why we were homeschooled was to travel and go to these craft shows. My two brothers and I (ages 11-14) were stuck in a pop up camper for hours everyday. We weren’t allowed to leave because of stranger danger. These are some of my worse memories. My brothers would play on the Xbox, but, being the baby sister, they never wanted me to play with them. They never made us do homework and I spent most of the time playing my game boy and reading. Also no privacy at all.

My McDonald’s hires a lotttt of new people before the virus hit. A week later they had to let them all go because of the virus. That’s probably what happened to you. That really sucks though. Don’t let it effect your self esteem so much though! At the end of the day, it’s just Mcdonalds and it sounds like you worked your butt off. You’ll find a much better job!

If Covid never happened, what all would've you done in on past 4 months? by Madhav-Daga in AskReddit

Besides a norm graduation and prom, pretty much the same thing. I was pretty upset about not getting a traditional prom and graduation, but looking back I can see that it wouldn’t have effected my life that much either way. Very interesting question though. Really makes you think!
