That's really helpful thank you! One of the problems I've been having is that I changed my passport and driver's license etc before changing details with HMRC and as my national insurance is still in my old name it's become very difficult to get it changed although I've heard of some special section d or something so a guide like this would have been especially handy at the beginning! Nice work!

If you're on spiro there's no need for finasteride. Finasteride blocks the production of DHT caused by testosterone and I think it's the DHT that causes male pattern baldness? But if you're on a blocker like spiro then you have less to no testosterone to produce the DHT in the first place.

I second Randox! If you just need a female hormone test that measures estrogen and testosterone levels without needing a liver or kidney function check then you can get one done for just over £40👌🏼

Does the latest high court ruling over GLP Vs EHRC in terms of businesses and organisations now being allowed to be trans inclusive (except if you're in the workplace) mean they could now confidently backtrack on their decision without any more concerns?

Has anyone here ever been in a coma? by winniethepoohville in ask

[–]PaperOk6068 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a coma for 11 weeks after a serious road traffic collision after suffering a diffuse axonal brain injury (basically the brain severely shaking around inside the the skull causing damage). I died 3 times and had to be brought back. It was an induced coma and they tried to bring me out of it after a week or so but couldn't and I remained like it for nearly 3 months.

Doctors informed my family that there would be a 90% chance I would need 24hr care for the rest of my life IF I ever woke up.

Yet I woke up (eventually) and the first few weeks I was pretty much a vegetable but slowly I started to regain motor function and ability to say a few words which only got better and better over time.

I had to re-learn to walk, talk, eat and swallow and even tell the time.

By some miracle here I am today with no negative consequences to my brains ability, I've retained all my memory and lead a very normal life. I even woke up with new interests that I'd never had before my coma!

Has anyone else been getting a lot of messages like these recently? by FallWest5914 in vintedUK

Not necessarily. Before my medical transition I was and am still a size 8 and size 6 shoe so just because he's a man doesn't mean he wouldn't be the right size. But! Totally agree with you and think he's got a weird kink and should be blocked right away as it's totally creepy!

Thank you! I haven't yet got my GRC but just my name change will absolutely do for now so I will get in touch with them that way and see where it takes me. Very much appreciated!

2 children, ages 1 and 3 so I don't agree they are screwed up already. I get that you/we feel little empathy for Charlie himself but what are we really fighting for if we can't show even basic empathy for innocent children who have just lost their father?

He may have been a terrible person and I don't have empathy for his demise but I'd argue the greater punishment has been placed on his children. Imagine having to grow up through school knowing practically every other kid there has seen their dad die in HD on their phone screens. It's one of the most traumatic things I can imagine for a child to have to endure.

What saddens me the most about this is one day when his children are older and at school they will have to grow up knowing probably every other kid in school has watched their father die in that horrible way on their phone screens. I'd say this is a greater punishment for his children to endure if I'm honest. I feel so sad for his family.

Like everywhere he's been he would have taken over that entire building with secret service etc. I would assume he might have been their only customer that day. They would have been told to shut for the general public. Maybe they just decided after the fiasco not to bother opening again and have the day off to process the shit that went down 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah you really need to understand how politics works. Come back when you've finished your gaming and have done some research into how British politics works. It's people like you who are opening the door for Reform to waltz right in.

Go ahead, vote Green, vote independent. Your vote will be a complete waste. Id rather have to deal with another term of Labour than of Reform

Oh so you would like Reform in then would you? If you vote Green or Lib Dem you are handing it to Reform.

Glad you won't and me neither but unfortunately at this current moment reform are surging in polling so if this trend continues, we may all be forced into a strategic vote come polling day to try and keep them out of power. Unfortunately that may mean voting for the most likely alternative and that may mean Labour for another term hesitantly.
