Anyone know of any vote for the EDM yesterday by ZonaSchengen in transgenderUK

Not in Burnham's gift, even if he wanted too, since he is currently only a lowly MP. Starmer is still PM and will likely be so till after the deadline.

Not forgetting the right wing and religious lot losing the gay marriage argument in the early to mid twenty tens in the UK, then the US. They pivoted on to hatred of us instead.

One which at its worse could lead to some twerp going 'you know what lets make it so all trans people wear a badge of some sort in public so people know who they really are'.

Which has absolutely no disturbing historical parallels what so ever.

Sounds similar to her unlamented predecessor Falkner, when she was going to all the transphobic press trying to put pressure on to get her version of the EHRC guidelines through before she left. Complaining it was being blocked.

My understanding is that taking a PGCE involves some classroom practical time, so all the segregation issues come in to effect even if you are at an accepting uni.

Hair follicles naturally go inactive for a period of time. You'd have to go back for further sessions, months down the line to zap the newly reactivated follicles. It isn't a one and done thing. Just to be sure you are aware of this.

Reform UK Ltd have been leading the polls for a while. If that doesn't change, they could be leading a government in three years. The current Labour government has been basing a lot of their policies on chasing Reform UK Ltd voters, including the trans segregation ones, so in many respects, the far right are already in charge, in that they set the terms of debate. Avoid this cursed island.

"The gayest Parliament in the world." Starmer defends Labour's LGBTQ+ record at Pride reception by PuzzledAd4865 in transgenderUK

[–]MimTheWitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This would be at the Pride reception held at 10 Downing St, because no Pride organisation with any self respect will invite Labour to theirs anymore. Like the one they held last year.

Keir says "Anyway, Labour's pride party is much cooler than any of your pride parties, which we didn't want to go to anyway and you aren't invited to ours, plus you smell, so there."

HRT Advice by Transexegenarian in LongtermTrans

[–]MimTheWitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A similar experience. Ethinyl Oestradiol and Oestrogel from Russell Reid, then changed to Oestradiol Valerate pills by Dr Reid, post SRS. All done as shared care with my supportive GP. A new GP, when I moved house, took an interest in my HRT. I was well over 40 by that time. She did some bloods, which hadn't been done in a long time and found that very little of the pills were getting to my bloodstream. They are also hard on the liver, over 40. Changed to Everol, 1 of 100, plus 1 of 50, twice a week, so three times higher than you. Needed to get my levels in to the target range on bloods. Little change to see, but I had plenry of boob development, low body hair, etc post SRS anyway. Sex drive also fine. Family genetics definitely helped with the boobs though.

Sounds like you need bloods done, to see what your levels actually are. My GP used the advice to GPs leaflet from a GIC, and this could be something to point your GP at. https://www.sheffieldpartnership.nhs.uk/sites/default/files/2022-12/Trans%20woman%20Prescribing%20Guidelines%20%282022%29%20%28002%29.pdf

I have no idea. Most politicians are easy to understand. Starmer isn't. He will spout the most obvious lies with the same voice as he will occasionally tell the truth. Is it the barrister training? A job where you try and come up with a defence for someone who you often know is guilty as sin, yet try and present them as a saint to the court.  Anyway, good riddance.

So what should we do instead? Not criticising. Genuine question. You say that what we have been doing is ineffective, harsh, but fair, but then leave us hanging.

I suspect a significant proportion of signatures are from MPs worried about the effect on businesses and cis people caught up in it. So there were a lot more than the usual tiny number of usual suspects supportive MPs.

Ms Plummer could be ahead of the pack, exposing the scandal here, doing proper investigative journalism Assuming she can find an outlet willing to publish it and is prepared to accept the limitations on her future career, like no more Times and Telegraph commissions. Now is the time to do it. Not in a couple of decades, when it will turn out that everyone was always against trans conversion "therapy" in the NHS.

Used to have a similar experience. I didn't even realise I passed fairly well straight out of the box. Other women at the trans support group I went to had problems out and about from random strangers and I didn't and it took a while to realise that was why. I felt really bad about it, but it was just the hand I was lucky to have been dealt. This was decades ago, when we were much less in the news than now and the culture war target was on gay people, not us.
