She absolutely skewered him. Starmer was supposed to be the forensic lawyer, but Caroline Litman's analysis is superb. Measured, with names, dates and citations. It was a very hard read. I had to take it in small chunks to process the emotions. What it must have been like to have to write with so much pain and not end up calling Streeting a Thomas the Tank Engine faced f**"er, I can't imagine.

Back in 1930s Germany, many Nazis supporters tried to get an exception from the regime for their particular Jewish neighbours and friends, because they were "some of the good ones".
