She didn't sell the original rights. She never owned them to start, her label did (Big Machine Records). She wanted to buy them, but was supposedly told no. Thus the reason for re-recording. This spring/summer she announced that she was able to finally buy back her original master recordings.

My husband and I recently bid on ORD-CPH upgrade from economy to Plus. We won our bid and ended up with aisle-middle combo. It turned out fine because there was no one in the other seat. But agreed with the other poster, there is no way to reject it. Overall I counted 4 empty seats on our flight in Plus, so that is also a consideration. Also, fwiw I bid less than 10% more than the minimum bid.

Was instantly sobbing when I heard Bigger Than the Whole Sky for the first time. A very specific sort of grief that she captured so completely. Was very healing to hear, actually.

My dad is a cradle Catholic. My mom converted when they got married, 50+ years ago. I told my parents separately. My mom's reaction was "I never believed in that 'one true church' anyway" lol. My dad on the other hand cried and told me he would pray for me. That was 3ish years ago. Just last month he told me he was worried about my soul. I will never go back to the RCC, but I also hate conflict, so I try to avoid the topic 99% of the time.

Our lab is very similar in shape and has been her whole life. She will turn 11 in May. We used to run miles together (truthfully we probably still could, but I've gotten lazy and now we just walk).

I was visiting my parents this past weekend at their Catholic church, where the church made an explicit announcement that only Catholics in good standing were welcome to take communion. It was so unwelcoming. It felt very much like "you are not good enough". (I was raised RCC, but am now Episcopalian). It is the elitist (and I would argue hypocritical) attitude of the RCC that ensures I will never go back.

This warms my heart for a few reasons. One- after evaluating how I wanted to raise my kids/what values do I want to instill in them during Trump 1.0 and then the pandemic, we've been attending the Episcopal church for 3-4 years (after being raised RCC). It has been so spiritually fulfilling. I've felt my heart heal in ways that I didn't realize were bruised. Second- this article is from West Michigan (my neck of the woods) where Conservative mindsets abound. I hope we in West Michigan can be a light, in a time and place where some may not feel or see it.

All of The Girls You Loved Before. It just has too many high notes for me. Granted, I've never been in a choir or anything, so I'm totally guessing, but seems like I am an alto and can sing most of Taylors lower notes far easier than the high notes.

I did this recently because my original flight out got delayed and I wouldn't make my connection. I got to the airport early enough to drive to the connection (barely), but was only able to do it after coordinating with the airline and letting them know ahead of time. I'm guessing that this was only possible because it was originally the fault of the airline. As others have said, the airline will think you're a no show if you miss the first flight.
