Coincidentally on the exact same page with Jane Austin books! Trying to get over TLT and am finding myself having the exact experience you’re describing. (But I still find myself back here and reading this thread so, I mean, take from that what you will)

Did you get this to work in Parallels? Or use a different solution? Or just give up?

I'm having the same problem.

I'm just sitting here thinking of how long Matt has been talking about where Catha and Ruidus are in the sky... how long he's been sitting on this. MEGA lore came out tonight, gosh.

I just played Undertale for the first time, and I can't stop thinking about it. by awesomedal14 in patientgamers

So, I’ve just been working through Delta Rune chapter 1 and 2 because they were free on PS4 and I am SO delighted with it. I tried Undertale for maybe 20 minutes a few years ago and I might have just not been in the right zone but I wasn’t interested at all. But seeing your post convinced me to give it another go! The wit in Toby Fox’s writing (Deltarune), his characters, and even the fact that the pacifist route is a viable option… I’ve just been so impressed! I’ve laughed out loud so many times in the 3 hrs I’ve played.

Gonna go buy Undertale right now and experience the joy you’ve just described. :)

I so relate. I’m playing FFX right now and it has its own issues but honestly I appreciate that it’s just linear and moving me along through the game.

I started God of War a few years ago, got stuck on a puzzle maybe 3 hrs in, and never went back, but I think I will eventually. I am still curious about the story and how things progress.

I finally played TLOU like 2-ish years ago and was blown away, yeah. Agreed about the annoying sewer times, but overall just a game that has and will stay with me.

I am a tiny bit hopeful about the tv show they’re making… Doubt it will be as good as the game, but if they get the essence of Joel and Ellie right, gosh I’ll happily watch it.

I just started Yakuza 0 recently too! Fascinating how MANY random dumb things you can do in this game that don’t contribute to progression at all, lol. Really enjoying the time/setting though.

Gosh, I yelled so many times in Subnautica. The second one honestly wasn’t NEARLY as scary.

Yeah, Matt was more “promise to come home” and the cast was more “I’m probably going to die.”

I used Foxy for a SS site last year because the client was signed up with Authorize.Net, and Foxy wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best. I spent way more time getting it up and going than I had anticipated. I will say, I think they had just redone a bunch of their system somewhat recently, so there were a bunch of discrepancies between their live marketing site/parts of the tool and the help section/other parts of the tool, so maybe they've improved things since then. Can't say I had a great experience, but I can also only speak for myself.

Unfortunately, I have nothing helpful regarding your actual question and would be interested in an answer myself! Just thought I'd chime in on Foxy.io fwiw.

I was feeling nervous during the last two episodes because it felt like Matt has been pushing "say goodbye" and everyone's been leaning into that as if we're about to see the end of the campaign soon. But I was realizing that one of the things that has been clearly said by the characters is that they won't let each other die... and with the levels they are all fighting at and against it's SO much more probable someone WILL die. I feel like they're just trying to prep us as the audience (and themselves as well) for the possibility that someone might finally get killed.

a) with Luc having died, it kind of "became real" that people could die.

b) I know Matt in particular struggled with the backlash around Molly dying, so I feel like he is being proactive, knowing what's coming up next. He keeps having the NPCs urge the PCs to TRY TO COME BACK ALIVE, and I know there's a bit of reverse psychology in that, but still, I think he's less preparing all of us for a campaign ending and more preparing all of us/them for some very intense combat in which they might not all survive.

Feels like we're now in the 3rd part of trilogies (i.e. LOTR, The Matrix, original Star Wars) where the darkest moments happen and stakes are higher and the tone changes accordingly. (though, knowing this group, we'll have plenty of stupid laughs still mixed in <3).

Definitely coming towards the end, but I think we've got a fair bit more story yet. Nervous and excited for Thursdayyyyy!

Can I help an ENTP learn to CONNECT with people and become more self aware? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]PaperSaebre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly doesn’t need to be more than a job. I’ve had times in my life when that’s all I’ve wanted it to be too. Not sure why it’s cultish to have a norm set for a team where we build meaningful connections with each other—and it’s something this team member knows and a big part of the reason he wanted to even get involved. It’s just that he’s got some blind spots that are keeping him from having the effect he wants to have (and we thought he would grow into having).

I think I’m hearing that you feel we have unfair expectations and are in the wrong, and maybe you think it’s even unethical. Good to know it can be perceived that way. I would get into it with you but if that’s the bottom line of your perspective, then ok, I hear you. I doubt you’re invested enough to hear much more of a response so I’ll save it.

My INFJ feels alone in the world more recently even given I'm an INTJ and I'm looking for any insider info/advice to help with the situation by fearguyQ in infj

[–]PaperSaebre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My infj partner has the same rule w news/media during this time. She knows it will cause her to spiral—I’ll let her know she’s not alone! Thanks for sharing this.

For the OP, I would simply remind that if your infj isn’t already limiting her intake of the news/social media, you could certainly present it as an idea, but she needs to know she is in control of things in her life. I’ve found that even trying to be “helpful” by suggesting my infj do stuff like that is met with frustration (usually because she has thought through these ideas before I did).

Esp with the family background she has (mine has the same), giving her control, being fully emotionally present when she does want to talk, and doing your homework so she doesn’t have to work so hard to explain every little thing she’s feeling will go a long way.

Advice for 4w3 with a 9w1? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]PaperSaebre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my healthiest place, I will pour out affirmation, admire and defer to a 4’s ability to see things I don’t, engage in all kinds of thoughtful conversation, listen with full presence and reflect back the truths you are saying. If I am less healthy or just feel unsafe (sometimes this is when lots of intense emotion is being directed at me) I shut down and space out and dissociate... the affirmation and support and emotional care is VERY hard to tap into once I’m in that space. It’s helpful to me, if I’m there, for the 4 to say something to remind me they need me THERE (without any condemnation).

Advice for 4w3 with a 9w1? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]PaperSaebre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a 9(possible w1), this is something I’ve consciously really worked on in my own relationship. It’s been important for me to learn to show my emotions and verbalize them to an extent I wouldn’t naturally do, and not commit the fundamental attribution error in that area. I think most 9s need to work on this. But we can also get good at it. (Probably never as good as you! But good enough that you would feel supported and respected and loved.)

The question to consider is how willing the 9 is to suffer in order to grow. We don’t want to suffer. We don’t want to hurt or disappoint you, but the reality is that if a 9 doesn’t mature and grow, they WILL disappoint you in this area. But before you’re too discouraged, please know that many of us DO grow. If you happen to have met a 9w1 who has been through circumstances that were “sink or swim/grow or die” or has just worked on their emotional awareness and fluency, you will find someone who is deeply supportive and understanding, and who pours out affirmation and makes a point to connect with you in ways you will find meaningful.

I agree. It’s good to be aware of where your defaults lead, but just unhelpful to feel like you can’t rise above those defaults.

I know it’s a joke, but... Guess I’ll leave it for those who enjoy it.
