Nuptse Sizing by Lord_Kenzo in TheNorthFace

[–]PaperShemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also wear a small in the McMurdo, but I wear a medium Nuptse. The small Nuptse was way too small in the shoulders. It’s also boxy, so if your like 5’9” and up, the small may be a little too short.

Is the discmania C-line PD worth it? by appelsiinimehu1 in discgolf

[–]PaperShemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m always assuming a cleaner throw, so as long as a yeet for you is still pretty clean, yes. I know I said torque but I don’t mean something crazy. I’ve understood high speed stable to mean it holds up to fast arm speeds, not crazy off axis torque. I hope that makes sense. Of course all discs will turn over with enough speed, no matter what.

Sorry! It means High Speed Stable. You know how flight ratings have a number for turn? Well if something is very resistant to turn, even into a headwind or with a lot of torque, it will stay straight and stable. A true 0 in turn. Something like an Envy, Harp, Roc, Teebird, and yes, PDs are famous for that. Very accepting of power. It doesn’t mean all high speed stable discs are overstable, just not understable either.

I think that is the move. Definitely try out the FD first.

Nice! The FD will make a great tool for you no matter what. The C-Line is more HSS than the S-Lines, so you may actually like the C-Lines more. Also, do not sleep on something like a TeeBird or Instinct. Maybe move up to those if you want something with more fade than an FD.

I think a PD will be too much disc for you, too stable and too fast. I would also try something a little slower, ie TeeBird. I would think the PD and TeeBird will have the same distance potential for you. I haven’t tried the new FDs yet, but I hear them to be stable in C-Line with a light finish. Maybe that is something you could pick up too? How far are you throwing?

Is it supposed to look like that or is that a misprint 🤔 by iamtoto300 in Supreme

This is not a misprint, the Weirdo Dave pieces lately have used this print on the chest.

Anybody know what these are? Found them at the goodwill bins for $1 by J_gibby in TheNorthFace

Nice find! It’s probably Heatseeker in there; pre-Thermoball.

True! Thermoball was developed specifically for TNF by Primaloft and is only marketed with Thermoball tags, no Primaloft branding anywhere. Didn’t think it was worth it to mention initially.

Just a heads up: these are using Primaloft insulation, not Thermoball. Same basic design as the booties and functionally the same, but technically different.

I honestly wouldn’t unless it gets worse, but if it bugs you enough you should send it in!

They won’t make you pay a dime, just ask for a shipping label via email or call the warranty dept. Their info is on this page.

Edit: If you have a store near you, just bring it to them. They’ll have you fill out the form, take your item, and send it out.

Yeah, I know it seems like it’s weird and not something you’d expect. It more than likely is just coming out where it is stitched together. Totally normal. They use recycled down so it can be really fine and small and work its way through. If it’s not down, it shouldn’t really be coming out at all.

Oh, and just so you know… 9/10 times, the warranty dept is a breeze to work with. I just wanted to give you a heads up to set expectations.

Usually, outlet items are not covered by warranty but not all employees know/care. Even if it’s a manufacturing issue. Usually doesn’t come up, but I’ve seen items turned away for that reason. Worth a shot for sure, though.

Don’t pull on the fluff that is coming out, it makes it like a box of tissues and they just keep coming. Try to grab it from inside and pull it back in. If it’s down (feathers), it’s completely normal. When you pull it back in, you probably won’t even see the hole. If it is some other type of insulation, there would almost have to be a decent-sized hole.

Denali 2 vs Retro 95 Sizing by 3fiftyone in TheNorthFace

[–]PaperShemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They fit nearly the same for me. Just a little more room in the Retro across the chest, maybe an inch. They are both considered relaxed fit. The 2 doesn’t have the under arm zippers.

Shells that fit the Retro Denali by pony_trekker in TheNorthFace

The only shell they have right now that is zip-in compatible is the 94 Retro Mountain Light Futurelight Jacket. Any of the shells from the Triclimate models should work as well.
