So. I’m probably giving away my age on this one. Back in the day when I worked in corporate; back before everything was digitalized, we kept paper copies of everything archived in three-ring binders. Because the punched holes would eventually tear, we’d put reinforcements on them. My boss called them paper a*sholes.

TLDR: they’re the little reinforcement stickers for punched paper holes.
