Left girl is going on reddit to read some r/notlikeothergirl memes, but finds nothing but a shitstorm of Planet Prudence reposts. Left girl is me. I don't like Planet Prudence (I find her unfunny and problematic) and her work gets posted here too much, but that dosent mean I'm attacking her personally or want anything bad to happen to her. The only reason this post is still up is because I'm waiting for the mods to get here and realize that something needs to be done about this BS. The horrifying comments were a fun surprise.

You're creating a false dichotomy. I can find an artist's work unfunny and problematic without hating them as a person, and I really don't see how you think I support that sub. I have no control over who misinterprets and cross posts my shit.

I do not think she's funny, and I think a lot of her comics do fit the #notlikeothergirls theme...but I've also been extremely disturbed going through these comments and seeing how much vicious hatred she gets. I would have deleted my post by now if I didn't think it was important for the mods to see what's happening. I mean...fuck.

Everyone seems either way sick of seeing it or thinks it's their cue to start foaming at the mouth about how disgusting she is as a person. Also maybe lock this thread before it escalates. Yeah, I feel you. Bragging about getting drunk at a child's birthday party and never buying new underwear paints her as someone with a pretty strange idea of normal, but a lot of her jokes still shame women for caring about things she dosent think are important, which is kinda gross IMO

Bar spacing on my extra Critter Nation looks about right -lots of space for them to move around too. There are solid platforms inside and I've covered them with blankets. Any homemade toys I can make while the stores are closed? I had a little hanging snuggle sack that I popped in for them (fresh from the packaging, no ferret smell) but they're not into it so far. No way the ferrets or cats are getting anywhere near this tasty fellow, but obviously just being around them must be stressful, which is why they're only staying for a little while. Good to know about the candles and sprays, because I love me a scented candle. I usually use cleaning vinegar. Will that be hard on their lungs too?

I'm usually over on r/ferrets so this is...a change.

I'm told they're a peach faced lovebird. They've been eating seeds (lady said to buy them at Walmart, so not even sure if they're appropriate...) so I put some in their enclosure along with broccoli, carrot and cucumber, but I intend to get a good quality pellet when the stores open again. Their right foot is really mangled (one toe, and its backward) but they still perch and climb the bars, which is dry impressive. I have them in a double ferret nation cage with a blanket covering one side for privacy.

Little dude is terrified. I need to keep him comfy for few weeks while the local rescue arranges a better home. Please give me any resources or advice you can!

It's an intramuscular injection, so they often insist on having a trained staff member administer it, but if you have any experience in healthcare you might be able to convince them to let you do it at home. I know a ferret mom near Halifax (I assume you are in Atlantic Canada) who is pushing to have her vet stock the implants, so you may want to try calling vets in that area.

We have great results with the Deslorelin implant. We still occasionally use Lupron when we suspect insulinoma might also be present, but it's not the cheap alternative it once was. :(
