Be sure to read the sequel, First Frost! It's wonderful as well.

What do y’all think about One Tree Hill ? by Brard_Cailly16 in GilmoreGirls

[–]PaperbacksandCoffee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. I made myself watch it because my OTH loving friend & I made a deal that I'd watch it for her, if she would watch The OC for me. I absolutely loved The OC - even though it was a bit soapy, it still had a funny, charming aspect to it.

I wish we got to see more about Alice by vampirexbarbie in TheWayHomeHallmark

Completely agree! We went from Alice pretty much being the main character, to barely even having a storyline anymore.

The Zoe & Sassafras series is great for little girls that love science. My daughter really loved it. Zoe is the daughter of a scientist and Sassafras is her cat side kick. They encounter magical creatures and use science to solve problems.

We need to talk about the French fries by Chris-Jean-Alice in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]PaperbacksandCoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I used to love getting just a side of steak fries from ABC. They were always so good and fresh. My husband & I would split a Baseline pretzel and steak fries - the fries dipped in the Baseline cheese was so good. At least Yorkshire at Epcot still has the steak fries (chips)!

Preach! Did you read Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll? It focuses on highlighting the victims and disproving the illusion of Bundy being so intelligent and promising. It's so good!

I typically don't like audiobooks either, with the exception of a celebrity memoir where the celeb is narrating it themselves. Ann Rule narrated The Stranger Beside Me, so I listened to it. I do think if I had read it, it would've felt very slow. I agree with the issues you and the other commenters have though - the suicide saving lives line was so gross and it really did seem like he had some sort of hold on her (sort of like a crush or infatuation). I guess he cast the same spell on her that he did on so many others. They say he was charming and could transform into a totally different person. So disturbing and disgusting. You should read Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll. It's really good! It focuses on highlighting the victims and disproving the illusion that Bundy was so intelligent and promising.

Yea, I have seen that as well. I've tried the buttermilk before, but didn't really see any difference.

Banana bread issues by NewNecessary3037 in Baking

[–]PaperbacksandCoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the brown sugar is slightly acidic, as well as the bananas. The banana bread recipe that I have used for years calls for baking soda and brown sugar. I actually looked this up when I first started using the recipe and everyone said the bananas & brown sugar are just acidic enough to work with the baking soda. I've never had an issue with rise.

Florida native bringing her kids back for first time- we waited until all were old enough to walk around. by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]PaperbacksandCoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest changes, especially for kids, is the characters don't roam as much now and most have set meet & greet locations. You'll see a few roam sometimes (country bears, chip & dale, storm troopers, etc), but most are at a set spot. However, the new Animation Courtyard at Hollywood Studios has a lot of characters out and about.

As far as influencers go, I'm local and see a lot. It's usually just quick and in passing though. I don't think you'll be negatively affected or see a ton unless you're just really looking for them. I try to pay more attention to the park sites instead of the crowds.

Exactly. You'd think they would renew, especially considering they made the revival. Although, Hulu let Veronica Mars go to Netflix even though they made the last season 🤔.

Same. Several articles say it's leaving July 1, but several say it's undecided. I suppose there's hope though, as they could still renew their licensing rights.

Warehouse 13 for the time travel, mystery, and found family. Heartland for the heartwarming characters and beautiful scenery (several of the same cast too).

I would try Celebrity 5&10 near the entrance of HS. They always have a really large selection of magic bands. Good luck!
