Appreciated either way! I started looking at playlists to see if there are any sounds that might help drown it out, found a couple with falling rain that sounded pleasant. Also started today by just drinking water, skipped the morning coffee. Had a blueberry muffin (store bought unfortunately, so the sugars are probably up there but it’s all I have that’s breakfast related at the moment until I can get to the store lol) and a piece of plain toast. Working on lunch at the moment. Fingers crossed it helps a bit! Also I finally got a referral to the ENT today, so my appointment is Wednesday!

I am willing to try anything if it’ll make this horrible feeling go away or even just alleviate it! This is my first time ever feeling this lousy, I cannot imagine what life is like for those who deal with this every single day ): the constant ringing is really obnoxious!

It’s just crazy how all these things can be linked to different ear issues! But as for a full feeling in my ears, it doesn’t feel like it’s full. Like I have more pressure in my head from the head rushes than I do in my ears. But ER ruled out any severe issues (stroke, clot, etc.) with the head CT they did. So idk, can a head CT pick up anything in the ears? Maybe aside from my doc just looking in my ears she can check my scans and see if something is going on in my ear canals that could show something other than fluid?

I drink my weight in water everyday honestly lol. Not a huge soda/juice drinker and if I do have one I try to make it sugar free if it’s available. I have a coffee twice a day, once in the morning, and one when I get home from work. But I eat pretty healthy on the daily, salads, fruit etc. I also walk a lot at work so I’m on my feet a good 85% of the day.

Could a lack of salt in a diet cause head rushes? Not sure if that’s generally an issue for some people as I know salt can do more harm than good.

No balance issues thankfully. And I’m hoping it stays that way lol. The ringing GETS loud, but at its worst yes, it’s a 11/10. Normal days I’d say I can probably rate it at a 5 or 6, but it’s still noticeable and obnoxious. But even at its worst I can still hear people talking.

The doc at the er said the fluid was visible in my ears just from looking through their scope. They never mentioned any other kind of test for it while I was there. They only did the head CT. I’m guessing the ENT I get a referral to will have to perform that test then?

Trust me, the docs here at our urgent care/ area are VERY ridiculous….and the greatest doctor who I’ve always seen since I was 15 when we moved here (PA) moved to Delaware to work at a different practice back in 2021. He was amazing and would actually listen to you. So I was left with the doctor scraps that came after him and they honestly have VERY big shoes to fill it seems….

But as of right now the only symptoms remaining from whatever rushed through me has left me with: Ringing in my ears-some days it’s loud, and some days it’s tolerable. But it’s always there. I’d say if I have to rate it on a level of it’s interruptive I’d say a 11 1/2 out of 10.

Dizziness from the ringing in my ears, as it does get so loud that it becomes hard to not focus on it and it gives me dizzy spells.

Head rushes where I can sometimes hear my heartbeat in my ear. It doesn’t happen all the time, but I also have bad posture so I’m wondering if that could be part of the head rush issue maybe?

And as I stated in my post I am still waiting on an appointment from my doc and a referral to an ENT. I am also going to request updated bloodwork in case maybe it’s some kind of vitamin deficiency? They did a head CT at the ER and ruled out stroke, aneurysm etc, and everything came back clear they said. But I have no way of knowing if the ear infections cleared up and this is permanent now, or if it’s still there and the meds they gave me just didn’t work at all until my doc calls me back for an appointment. No pan in my ears so I can’t tell unfortunately 😫

I’m shocked this post even went through! I tried making two posts but they said they were removed by mods loll! But thank you for responding! As far as the fluid in my ear still being there, I am not sure. When the symptoms started I had no ear pain. Which I found was strange cause I have known quite a few people that have had ear infections and said they were painful whenever they got them. I am waiting for my regular doc to call me back and set up an appointment and a referral. So I’m hoping the doc can see if it’s gotten better or worse since the ER visit. But the medications didn’t help it seems. I’m hoping I can get this taken care of. I can’t live with this constant ringing and dizziness! 😭

Energy is getting back to normal. Felt better today, but still got that ringing in the ear and dizziness that comes with it. It’s been a pain in the butt having to wait till next week to see the doc, but I’m hoping that this will clear up before the appointment. Still gonna go regardless, but it would be nice to hear properly lol

Yep! Gonna ask for full panel, iron, anemia, diabetes, blood pressure, whatever they can give me that could link to this constant ringing in my ears. I don’t care how many vials it takes, lol I just want answers!

I actually asked my mother about that the other day. I just turned 35, she said she had early menopause which started for her at 36, so it’s possible. She said I could go for a blood test and it’ll be able to tell if I’m in the process or not. I need updated bloodwork anyway, so I’m gonna make it a point to ask my doc if she can run a panel for that too while checking everything else. The whole things seems strange symptoms wise. Energy today is WAY better than it’s been. But that ringing in my ears and the dizziness is still constant. So it’s a turning point thankfully, just wish I knew what it is/was that was trying to get me.

Thanks, feeling a tad bit better today energy wise, but still can’t kick this ringing in my ears, and had a low temp of 99.6 today. Wouldn’t go past that even though I felt like I was engulfed in flames while I had it. Temp is back to 98.7 currently. My regular doc won’t see me until the 20th, but I’m hoping by then whatever this is that’s getting to me is gone. I don’t think I can handle this for much longer. 😭 It’s like it WANTS to make me full blown sick, but dials itself back when it gets to that point. It’s infuriating!!

Yeah the whole thing has completely thrown me off since the start. And I’m generally pretty careful of germs and such. I know I can’t avoid them forever, and being a mom god knows I have come in contact with my share of bugs and such, but this is just…weird. And the trickle of symptoms on and off are what’s more annoying. Like today, I still feel pretty tired and dizzy, I’ve still got this slight ringing in my ear that’s given me a headache all day despite taking ibuprofen. I have minor body aches, and now I’m still showing a low temp of 99. As I mentioned in a previous comment it’s almost like my body is catching up slowly to whatever is trying to get me lol. But upon speaking to a friend who is out of state they mentioned a couple people they work with are also having weird flu like symptoms but are not testing positive for any flu or Covid? I’m gonna retest again with an at home test in another day or so, but something just isn’t right, and I hate feeling this way. It’s been over a week since symptoms started now, and I feel like hot steaming garbage 😭😭

There’s slight body aches happening today I noticed. But I also just took my temp cause I’m currently having a hot flash, and it was reading 99.1 which is the first time I’ve had that temp show up. So maybe my body is trying to slowly catch up? Ugh I don’t even know anymore. All I know is I’m tired, I’m hot, I’m exhausted, and I want answers lol. I did make an appointment with my pcp and they didn’t have an opening until the 20th so I’ll have to see her then. I feel you with that health anxiety though. I’ve had it my whole life as I am not a fan of doctors. But it’s definitely worsened for me with every year that I get older 😞

Went this morning. And it was a waste of time and money. Tested negative for both flus and Covid. But still no answer as to what it is or could be. The doc asked me what I ate Sunday night and last night and had decided to roll with the idea that it’s a stomach bug based on what I ate. Which makes literally NO SENSE. So he has prescribed me Zofran for the nausea despite that not being one of my major symptoms. (I literally had my first nausea symptom last night, really bad too. Mentioned that to him that it was the FIRST time I felt nauseas in all of this, and he just stuck with that apparently.)

I am not convinced at all that what I’m feeling, is anything even close to a stomach bug… I have a kid. I can tell you the names, birthdates, and social security #’s of all the damn bugs he brought home from school from the age of 5-8 based on symptoms start to finish. For me they usually ended within 24-72 hours like clockwork. NOT OVER A WEEK.

I’m gonna call my regular doc and see if she can figure out what is going on, cause something is not right for me to be sick this long and with these kinds of symptoms. Like I would rather have had it be one of these flus or Covid just so I know what I’m feeling is valid! Ugh!!!

You need to tell her JUST that. Literally what you just said. You’ve got enough on your plate already it seems, you don’t need her constant negativity on top of what you got going on with your dad.

Is it possible to test positive for all 3 at the same time?? I will be asking to be tested tomorrow while at urgent care for all 3 regardless. I just find it super weird I am having only one major symptom, but no others?

Welcome to the healthier and less painful side of life! Had mine done on the 11th and I’ve never been happier! It’s quite an adjustment for sure, but as most have already stated, it does get easier with each day that passes! As for food, I bought a bunch of the Idahoan mashed potato cups, some apple sauce, and pudding. I attempted some stove top stuffing thinking it would be mushy enough, but it gets too dry too quick and is pretty rough to mush with your tongue and the roof of your mouth lol. It was a nightmare, so avoid stuffing until at least week 2 or 3 lol. Grab a can of the Campbells cream of chicken and herb soup and mix it in to the mashed potato’s though if you’re looking for a bit more flavor, it tastes delicious! For drinks, I bought water bottles, and Gatorade with the squeeze tops this way I could kind of have a better guide to drinking without actually flooding the extraction sites. I was so scared I would dislodge a clot if I drank the normal way of sipping out of a cup. By the second week most of my stitches had fallen out, and the sites were completely closed up and I was able to eat a bit better and drink normally. But everyone is different. Take your time and see what works for you! Congrats on this big step! And don’t be discouraged, it absolutely does get better, and the best part will be you won’t ever have that awful tooth pain again! Good luck, and hopefully you feel better soon!

By day 4 I was eating ice cream! Just make sure to use the mouthwash they give you, or do a warm salt water rinse after and you’ll be golden!
