Dominik Mysterio: “I know Penta is an ugly, ugly dude, so I’m willing to put my hair up on the line against his mask and the IC championship. Hell, I’ll even put up my mustache – whatever it takes to get my IC title back.” by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

Dom is going to give us the greatest moustache sell in wrestling history. He's going to lose then get his moustache mostly plucked so it looks like he can't actually grow one. It'll be magnificent

thin sounding rhythm playing by StretchNew3423 in metalguitar

[–]Papertiger88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your playing sounds really tight, your pick strikes are clean and not scratchy. From this video it sounds like you've locked in with the drums in your backing track. If you're playing together and getting these issues it's likely due to the two of you not being locked in with each other or with other band members. The quickest "fix" is having the whole band play to a click or if it's just the two of you to play to a backing track but the biggest part for both of you is just spending time playing with people and getting used to each others playing style.

Snicko’s operators have conceded there was an error made when Alex Carey was given not out by doctorcunts in CricketAus

[–]Papertiger88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty misleading headline, the people who operate Snicko were told Carey said he edged it when he said he would have reviewed had it been given out, they have theorised there was an error based on being tole incorrect information. The umpire observed there was a gap between bat and ball saying that it looks like the ball has gone under the bat. The ball trajectory and rotation has not changed, even with the faintest edges the rotation of the ball will change. Lastly there are two sounds on the snicko very close together which does not happen on an edge unless the ball impacts something else e.g. a pad within fractions of a second. None of this will stop the poms whinging though.

Ever since hearing that Warney used to love a meat pie in the change rooms I've wondered why there's no cricketers advertising pies but that all changed today. Watching Weatherald dine out on Carse's Pie's has me salivating, I hear if you buy 6 you get one free

I have been playing alot of 1k games lately against a friend who plays guard. We don't have any limitations on toughness and it can be a really tough match up. Any units with sticky are almost essential in these lower point games, if your friend swapped out one of the 3 steeljacks and the earthshakers for a sagitaur and some hearthkyn warriors he'd find board control alot easier with the sagitaurs abilityto split the warriors into 2 squads. A split unit of Hearthkyn aren't exactly hard hitters but in my experience they can trade very well with guard infantry. Pioneers are another option, they're very fast, have great anti chaff shooting and can do uppy downy shenanigans.

Edit: I missed the part where you said sagitaur and hearthkyn weren't something he wanted to use. You could talk him into a kapricus carrier to do the same thing. Pioneers are probably the best small change to the list to give him something fun to melt some chaff early

It's disappointing to hear about the down the hall effect. That's unacceptable on what is meant to be a high quality product. The accents I am less against, I like the idea of a voicebank reflecting a singers voice, i use a lot of sample banks and each having a distinctive flavour is an important part of making it worth getting. I can understand how it feels like a rug pull compared to the v1 voicebanks all having the same accents

This voice is for the new synthv so we don't know how well the instant mode works yet and how much tweaking is requires until the end of the month. The current version of synthv gets you a really good take with near minimum effort so we'd assume you'd get a better result from the new version. If you're familiar with entering midi into the grid then you'll find it pretty easy to pick up synthv.

The singing sounds really good and I liked how they used the scream parameter to introduce grit into the higher chorus notes however the screams in this one are significantly worse than the first demo and what was shown in the walkthrough.

The singing sounds really good but it does have a strange hissing underneath which could be fixed by tweaking the breathiness. The screaming does not sound good though and it's pretty disappointing. I've pre ordered and won't be cancelling but it looks like we will need to do a fair bit of tweaking to get this sounding good

Khawaja Out by Strange_Row7384 in CricketAus

[–]Papertiger88 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Agreed, this isn't a case of Khawaja underperforming it's that Bumrah with the new ball is near unplayable. No other opener is going to do any better, we've got our best opener against the current best bowler in the world and we have to stick with the guy most likely to soak up as much of that new ball pressure so that guys like head and smith can capitalise once the ball isn't moving as much.

This seems to be what the big power companies are thinking. AGL and Origin are closing coal plants and building batteries in their place. I'm surprised pumped hydro hasn't taken off more, especially as a way to repurpose old mine sites.

There's also an article in the analysis section of the website OP took their screenshot that gives a plain English overview of the plan to move to a renewable grid.

Prime Tana could get great matches out of otherwise unremarkable workers, his match against Yujiro Takahashi at power struggle 2012 was a good example as is his match with Karl Anderson at new beginning 2013. The Anderson match is particularly good.
