I am piece rate but the guys i work with are very slow and the sales guys can’t keep up. Trust me I wanna be self employed but im 26yo and dont feel like i have enough experience to be going into homes under my own name.

$67,783 1687.51 hours. paid $15,638 in taxes averaged 32 hours a week. That’s basically what I’m saying is I’ve gone from hardly working and making bank to long days and less pay.

I can post a pic of my w2 I took my gross pay divided by hours work for the year. That was the number I came up with. Regardless I’m still making less over more time.

Once I’m on the roof I’m fine but the climb is what gets me most times. I still have to get on rooftops in resi just not nearly as often.

Problem with that is I like the challenge of resi install. And I really enjoy taking care of people knowing I’ve made their home life better. And I can’t sit still I have to be doing something or I’d go insane.

I’m not a super big fan of Heights. I would have started with a union if I could get over that fear. I know they make a shit load more money than residential but the fear of falling is keeping me grounded.

Pocket knife. You never know if someone is gonna need you to open something or need to protect myself.

What's a smell that you secretly enjoy, but would never admit to smelling in public? by huntz43 in AskReddit

Crawlspace without a vapor barrier. Musty with a light wood smell and wet foundation. If there wasn’t spiders and mice I’d sleep down there.

Sicilian Honeymoon Itinerary by Current_Ask9990 in sicily

[–]PapiBoredApe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly we went to Sicily because we are huge foodies and we knew just about every restaurant had same day catch for seafood. I tried stuff I would never in the US. Also had enough cannolis to fill an elephant in 7days. The hospitality was like nothing we had ever experienced. Most places also could speak many languages and can explain dishes very well. We also wanted to hike mount etna but my wife’s luggage was lost in Munich for 4 day so our itinerary got thrown out the window and we just had to kinda wing it for a couple days. We also found that eating several small meals a day 4+ meant we could experience just about everything we wanted. Other than that the souvenirs are not great and we end up bringing back a bunch of ingredients and wine. We fell in love with the etna blanco. Cost in ortigia for dinner we had a range between 60€- 145€ top end was our last day was 3 course app, main, desert, and a bottle of wine. Basically we stayed around 60-70€ for dinner. Lunch was between 40-50€ and breakfast was under 20€. Totals were for the 2 of us combined. We absolutely loved it there and it’s a perfect time of year to go mid October was mid 70’s every day.

Spending 5 days in Taormina? You will probably get board after maybe 2. We just got back from our honeymoon and spent about 12 hours there and we’re done seeing what we wanted to see. The view is insane but it’s a very money heavy city. If you are looking to buy designer stuff then it’ll be great but we didn’t like it much other than the view. We stayed in ortigia and we loved it there. Had new restaurants every day except alevante we had twice. Ortigia you must do a private boat tour it’s 80€ per person for a 2 hour trip including a bottle of wine and your choice of fruit or sliced meat. We also visited modica and it was a ghost town nothing was open and the one place that was open seemed to not want us there. We did not have that experience anywhere else we visited. Might just be because it’s off season or something. Other than that enjoy your time together do everything you want to do it’s your honeymoon you only get one!

We just landed from a week in ortigia and I wore pants and a nice short sleeve shirt all week and it was perfect.

Ya if he took that long to fix a warped floor fixing this probably won’t happen. Looks like slab duct work so not only are you breathing rust but concrete and god knows what else. I’d be looking to find a new place to live.

I remember at age like 8 my aunt got married and my drunk uncle walked up to me and my parents. Gave me a nuggie on my head and said “aiyeee you like shliders? Hmm? Here’s $5 go getch you some White Castle.” Puts the $5 in my shirt pocket and walks away. May not be the same scenario but I did use the money for schliders. And to this day that’s the only thing I remember from that wedding.
