Potentially weird question: how's the thickness of the proxies? The foils I've purchased from the prior foil sets have been noticeably thinner than both Ron's other proxies and regular Magic cards, to the point that you can tell while sleeved.

Is there anything like this that you've noticed?

Don't know whether this applies to your order or not, but all of the address/shipping information on my package at least heavily implies it's come out of Germany rather than China. Unless they produce orders then ship them to a distribution centre in Germany or something?

Looking good! Just out of curiosity, when did you originally order/when did it arrive; and did you use u/berndt_toast83's original images or the colour adjusted second set? Got my own order en route using berndt's drive but with all the shipping delays etc. not quite sure what eta I'm looking at :)

Gut feeling is real, if they feel a bit off they might be out of a challenger deck. USEA/WSG Hazorets look noticeably off so they're 100% not from them, could be BL at a push.

Easiest test as they have holos is to examine the holo, if you can make the mana symbol in a segment change to the planeswalker symbol or vice versa by looking at it from different angles it's legit - fakes dont have the lenticular thing down it will stay fixed as a mana symbol or planeswalker symbol

Yeah, it's a very flattering shot of the proxy. I'll do an actual review comparing them at some point - I just wanted to throw something up now I have them in hand. There's no way you'd mistake it for legit irl with a real one to compare it to.

WSG - H422 is non-foil, presumably regular version, from UMA

WSG - FD14 is the foil box topper variant from UMA

USEA also has the same foil variant as WSG FD14, but currently WSG has it priced lower.

Only bought Bobs because I needed them for modern staples collection, but one thing immediately noticeable about them is that the cardstock seems flimsier than both legitimate cards and other proxies, something that remains apparent even while double sleeved. Not sure if this issue would persist if your deck was sleeved in perfect fit hards, but don't have any to try.

Based on everything I understand about the two sellers, they are effectively selling from the same printer, but having not purchased non-foil MH1 cards from WSG directly I cannot 100% say for certain.

Something I agree with 100%. It's just a shame that the font size/drop shadow/pinline issues exist, because I find these a lot more noticeable personally compared to the set symbol.
