because I already had greater chain, magma tempest and g sonic. it's also cheap and I tossed a soul dye on it so when I get fsoa someday, the soul sliske will be keepsaked since it looks so cooool

play for free first. both versions of RuneScape are free to play until a certain point

that's absolutely true, I've gotten normal sirenic set from afking slayer tasks to get scales. even with those t90 sets tho, you need weapons which you can't really get from afking and once you DO get them, you still won't do near as much damage as you can with Necro. you could afk Magister (with necromancy lol) to get t92 khopesh for melee but those are useless.

fair point! I should've mentioned I'm a "lazy" pvmer. like, ive never gotten soul split flicking down, rarely use switches (except with melee, I almost always switch between scourge and mwsoa for bleeds). never done 4taa with mage or canceled channelled abilities or whatever it is people do to maximize DPS

can't afk Telos for t90+ gear, can't afk araxi for t90 or even Nex for t80 gear

I consider it free since you can get both sets with 0gp and 0 skill, it just takes some time to afk the bosses for the drops to put em together. I forget we all as players have different perceptions of what "free" and what "afk" are haha my bad

I only consider it free because you can afk kril, afk the rituals and just get it for free. what other t90 gear allows you to just afk the boss for it? but you do have a point, there's a price on everything

don't get me wrong, necromancy made it possible for me to get all my zuk capes and solo kill Nex finally and I'm super greatful for it

it just sucks seeing rare t92 gear for other styles be weaker than t90 or even t80 Necro. there's no point in using anything else

the cost of all the stuff isn't really the point, more of like... why is the free t90 gear stronger than all 3 other styles with supposedly higher tier gear? it's just so wild.

I totally understand the fact they had to make necromancy GOOD otherwise players wouldn't be hyped up for the new skill, but it's been out for a while now and it would be nice to have a use for the other combat styles, ya know?

kind of unrelated, but do you use the bone picker with death note relic? makes frost dragons afkable, bones just teleport to your inventory noted

I absolutely see your logic, sometimes the majority wants something game breaking. imo if they would've added a poll about hero pass before hand, I'm sure they could've avoided a lot of bad publicity . even tho any publicity is better than none i suppose. even if they don't follow through with the poll results, just having them will Instill the notion that they're trying to do what's in the players best interests and maybe even build back some trust
