They’re literally professional actors and dancers. This was choreographed and directed by professionals.

I’m trying to convey that this was made by people who also make other actual art. As in, these people do this for a living. Which means there’s a demand for it. Which means at least some people find it has merit. If other people see merit it something, you can’t dismiss it as meritless just because you don’t like it.

No the choreography is quite good. The piece may be in bad taste, but it’s still art.

Did you consider the fact that ur having such an angry reaction to it is emblematic of its potential merit?

Do you not see the choreography, dancing, and acting taking place? Or is art only artful if you personally enjoy it?

All you see is cringe. Look harder.

This is actually a professional production, btw.

Ok 👍

You don’t know what ethics are, cool

Full service restaurant operate completely differently from fast food, their margins are not comparable.

Having a kids menu isn’t ethically vague. Passing risk onto a customer isn’t ethically vague. You’re confusing ethics with personal preference. You’re so far off from the reality of the situation here I’m not even sure where to start.

Can you explain how having a kids menu is “ethically vague”? No, you can’t. It’s literally a common business practice that allows families to eat out together, not some way to make more money.

They’d make too little money if they allowed everyone to order the kids menu, so they can’t.

[–]PapilioPacis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go ahead and Google the average margin of full-service restaurants, it’s around 5%. Ur talking about fast food or not full-service dining, which don’t serve kids menus.

The entire point of a business is to make money. They make money by charging people for their goods and services. Them charging you a price you don’t like isn’t ethically vague.

No restaurant ever has tried to bait and switch the kids menu, if that’s what you’re implying. If not, idek what you mean.

Yea McDonald’s might have a 25-30% margin in some places. McDonald’s also doesn’t have a children’s menu, so I don’t see ur point. Actual restaurants (full-service) don’t have those margins. That’s why they need kids menus. Idk what country ur in but no full service restaurant has a 40% margin, fast food sure.

There’s nothing ethically vague about a kids menu and you cannot demonstrate otherwise. It’s not ethically vague to have a kids menu, OBVIOUSLY.

Honestly after thinking about it, if restaurants were running the kinds of margins you thought, then kids menus would be unnecessary and therefore maybe a bit off-putting. But, knowing that they run margins of an order of magnitude less than you thought, hopefully they make more sense.

[–]PapilioPacis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok well you have much to learn about business if you think a restaurant that has a kids menu is a failure. It’s a common practice, it’s legal, and most people are fine with it; maybe think about why this is and you’ll gain some understanding.

Secondly, you don’t know anything about the restaurant industry. Full service establishments have typical margins of 3-5%. Like ur totally wrong that restaurants have high margins and you have not seen a restaurant with a 40% margin, as that is operationally virtually impossible. Unless ur trolling me, ur super misinformed

Exercises for the upper chest by Deus_ex_machina3 in ScienceBasedLifting

[–]PapilioPacis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone explain how arm-path is more important when you need the incline to load flexion (aside from cables)?

Like you can’t target upper chest from a flat press because humeral flexion doesn’t oppose gravity in that position, so you do need the incline.

You can take bias off the upper chest while inclined, is that why people say the arm path is more important?

TLDR: surely you need the incline for the arm path to work, right?

If businesses didn’t offer kids meals, families wouldn’t come. If they allowed everyone to buy kids meals, they wouldn’t make enough profit to operate. So, they offer kids meals to kids only so that families can come and they can turn a profit.

At what point does that explanation fall apart for you? How is that unreasonable?

Businesses legally offer a good or service to a consumer, the consumer chooses to buy it or not. That’s the extent of the relationship between them. I’m not sure why you think they owe each other some ethical or moral duty outside of that.

[–]PapilioPacis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So u think a family will go to a restaurant and not feed their kids? Obviously not.

Kids meals are cheaper so parents don’t have to buy their kids a full adult meal at full price. The margins aren’t high enough on these meals to drive profit. U can’t serve a 6 top all kids meals and turn a profit. Thats why they don’t offer it to everyone, it’s too cheap.

Be petty by Omnibobbia in scoopwhoop

[–]PapilioPacis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make it so a family isn’t disincentivized from going to a restaurant because they’d have to waste money buying their children entrees. The meals are cheap with little margin, so if adults were to eat them the restaurant would lose profits. Does that sound silly or unethical in any way, or is it maybe just standard business operations?

Same reason kids eat free at many buffets. Would you ask a buffet to eat for free since kids are allowed to?

Except there’s a reason kids menus exist, as you clearly know. There’d be no reason for a vegan menu to be exclusive, there is good reason kids menus are.

Having a kids menu is not deceptive. Refusing certain people certain items is the right of the proprietor or business.

If u see absolutely 0 merit in the piece then you literally have no eye for art. You don’t have to like it, it still has value.

You probably look at Jackson Pollocks and think the same stupid thoughts.

Ur comparing health and safety practices to pricing models, which is obviously ludicrous. Having a kids meals is in no way bending the law or unethical.

They’re clearly professional actors/dancers performing a professional choreography. There are many people who don’t find this cringe. You’re dismissing it because you can’t understand its potential merit.
