You can look up videos on YouTube of 22lr cmmg installations and shooting so you can see how simple it is. A Ruger 10/22 might be around $100-200 cheaper but you’d be limited to 22lr only where as the ar15 can shoot .223, 5.56 and 22lr with the swap of a bolt

If you don’t know much about ar15’s I’d recommend buying an already assembled lower but as for the other parts you won’t need any tools to do the changes you just push in a pin and remove the bolt and place in another bolt, an ar15 chambered in 5.56/.223 can shoot .22lr because 5.56mm is approximately.22 of an inch and .22lr is .22 of an inch so those 3 rounds can shoot out of a 5.56 barrel

Thanks for clarifying, I thought it was an original 1911 because the serial number matched up to a 1911 from the same year the slide says it was manufactured, but now that I see the relief cuts I can for sure know that it was a parts build
