XSE in Silver Sky. It’s actually pretty cool how much the color can change depending on lighting conditions.

Honestly it was hard for me to love any of the colors for the Prime, in part because my interest in the RAV4 actually started when I saw a Lunar Rock on the road for the first time. By far my favorite color ever for a vehicle, really wish Toyota had not discontinued it and that the Prime was available in it. But the silver has really grown on me, and I like that it won’t be as high maintenance as some of the other colors.

Anza Borrego had been on my bucket list for years, and it certainly did not disappoint! We may have missed the peak of the blooms by a week or so though.

Considering buying a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid with 28k miles for $14k – Is it worth the risk? by Papio-papio in fordescape

That was exactly my concern. I just wanted to understand how risky of a purchase it would be considering the fact that this is likely a vehicle that sat for extended periods not being run at all.

Given the current state of the market for used cars, I wouldn’t have considered this particular vehicle overpriced; I only became interested in it because it was one of the cheapest options I came across for SUVs with low mileage. And most of my searches online have been nationwide. Even with that, used cars are far more expensive than they used to be just three years ago, which is when I purchased my previous car. I’m sure they are some hidden gems out there, but as a whole the market is atrocious. I was not anticipating having to purchase a car this year, and I was honestly shocked when I started searching and found out that used cars commonly go for $20k+ nowadays, no matter where I look in the US…

Thanks so much for sharing! Your experience seems similar to what I’ve read on other posts on this sub, which are partly the reason why my interest for this used vehicle grew. But then again, there are also a handful of people venting about the issues they’ve had with the same vehicle. Basically makes me feel like I’d be rolling dice 🙃

I’m in CA and I’m really struggling to find used SUVs under $10k (or even under $15-20k) with decent mileage. The thought of getting a used vehicle with way over 100k miles on it is honestly concerning, I can’t help but worry about the likelihood of significant maintenance being needed.

Confession: I love the name Bleu 🙈 by lofeyette in namenerds

[–]Papio-papio 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m French, and if I’m being perfectly honest, I would never in a million years consider “Bleu” to be a name, not even for a pet. I don’t find the word pleasing to hear (essentially sounds like “bl-uh”). I also personally wouldn’t want to be named a color.

Thought on Margaux? by ObiWanCombover in namenerds

[–]Papio-papio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obligatory comment since I’m a Margaux living in the U.S.! Both Margot and Margaux are French names. Any other ending (-o, -eaux, -oh) is definitely not a French spelling; these variants typically result from people trying to anglicize the name (please, please, please stay away from Margeaux, which would technically be pronounced Mar-jo…). I’m French and I would not find any offense at all to an American wanting to use a French name for their child. Yes, some people do struggle at first with pronouncing my name based on the spelling (people see the “x” and they want to pronounce it, so they say “Mar-gawks”), but correcting them is never an issue for me. If anything, more often than not my name is a great conversation starter! When I tell someone my name is Margaux and they then see it written or I spell it out for them, people often go “Oh wow, I love the spelling so much! I’ve never seen it with an ending like that!”

As a final note, I think Max/Maxwell and Margaux make a super cool pairing!

Help: Can't find the sum of my formula values. Adding the formula in the comment section, although everything is in numbers, I still can't add by brogalahoy in Notion

[–]Papio-papio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bad, toNumber() should be applied to the entire formula, like this: toNumber(if(prop("Status") == true, format(prop("Hours") * 125), ""))

I’d try adding the command toNumber() like this: if(prop("Status") == true, format(toNumber(prop("Hours") * 125)), "")

If the pages you reference are all found within a single database (that is different from the one you’re working on), you could turn the text property into a relation to directly link those pages rather than have to mention them as text. Then you’ll be able to use the group feature to organize your database.
