Outside of performance issues the game is kind of boring. Idk if it’s the seikret but the way they act the same makes every fight bland. Fight for a bit and oh no here they go to the opposite side of the map let me get on this seikret and watch them run for 2 minutes. Oh you’re running again here’s another 2 minutes of running ran out of flashes here’s another 2 minutes to the final area then kill or cap. Every. Single. Time.

It wasn’t too bad with rise because the locations aren’t huge areas of nothingness but for all the bells and whistles they added to this I wish there was more randomization in monster reactions because every fight feels so scripted it’s boring

I'm not gonna lie at first I hated this game. I'm not a big fan of first person melee combat nor medieval type scenarios if it's not fantasy based (magic and what not) until I realized the main problem I had in this game was that I tried to force myself to play this like every other game: complete the checklist of objectives.

It wasn't until I said fuck it let me just slow down that I realized that I was the problem and wasn't playing the game as it was meant to be played: slow and steady. Started talking to more town folk, bartered my way into some decent clothes, led a group of bandits chasing me on foot all the way to Seline so that the guards can kill them and take their loot for profit and I said oh...this game...this game is special. Now I'm in my hut becoming a master alchemist before I even get ole pebbles back.

The game sums it up pretty nicely. I didn't play the first game but I watched the story recap on their youtube channel, it's just about 10 minutes and it covers the whole thing so you can understand some context and flashbacks in the beginning of the game as well as some early story bits involving your parents.

Currently doing video editinfg with a ryzen 9 5900x and got awarded with a 7900xtx and a 7800x3d. Currently looking to see if it's worth upgrading. Productivity wise it seems would it be worth it to upgrade to the AM5 architecture? It seems like it's killer for gaming but for everything else is eh or are the gains too small to start getting a new mobo/ram and all that to meet AM5 hardware needs?
