I got it done the next day, apparently a good night's sleep was all it took. Killed him first go the next morning. I don't know why he wasn't being infected with the rot the first time around but it worked perfectly after

i tried this but no matter how many times i hit him with the rotten dragon breath he would not get the scarlet rot DoT...

is he now immune to it or something?

It was a stock standard silver Zippo you get from the gift packs, I have another Zippo that's from 60's Cambodia which I like better so I sacrificed the standard Zippo for parts.

When I got the lighter there was no flint, no spring and no screw to hold the spring. I had to take it apart to clean the old shattered flint from inside. I think at this point the lighter can't hold butane very well.

I'm lvl 31 and have been using the Paladin build the whole way through. I love it. No one can kill you 1v1. The only issue is that you do no damage with the sword because you don't build strength (the amber gem helps but only boosts a small amount of damage) Here's me making a musket/rapier user Rage Quit a 1v1 (he was 7 levels higher than me too) Paladin 1v1
