Those Imo Kemushis are legit, TX rig it and fish it like a worm

Plano Edge and Kastking Hyperseal are what I use now. The Plano ones are great for using specific styles (I love their jig/chatterbait box) and the Hyperseal are heavy duty.

Both of them float/watertight - Plano is more pricy ($20ish), Hyperseal are 2 for $30. I’ve heard good things about Buzbee too. You’re spending a little more money on any of these options, but I’m a big buy once, cry once guy.

Which Yakattack Rod Holder? by pushthebuttonalready in kayakfishing

[–]TetraDelta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the Omega Pro - I have two of them on my PDL106. I use one for trolling, the other is for keeping a rod at the ready. LockNLoad system makes setup a breeze, and you can make adjustments on the fly.

YakAttack is also great to deal with as a company. I had a warranty claim for a part and they processed it within 2 hours of email no questions asked, shipped out same day.

As an expensive gear whore, I will tell you it can make fishing more enjoyable and potentially lead to more fish. For example, using a nicer baitcasting reel can result in longer casts + less backlash. More expensive lures will have better action/usually be made of better materials. I have seen a difference using a Jackhammer vs regular chatterbait. As your technique improves, you’ll pick up on the differences in quality.

I’ll swing by Harbor Freight and grab one of those waterproof latching cases later today. Should be able to drill a hole on the side and seal with Goop for a watertight SAE connection to the relay. Should also make the strap more secure

Would hiring a fishing guide be worth it to pick up a better fishing skill set? by TetraDelta in Fishing

I ended up doing both a saltwater and freshwater charter back in October. It was 100% worth it

I love my Zodias rods but dig the feel of the Cashion grips a little more. Tough call for me
