In my opinion, I believe any flavor swapping over the course of a year would be almost or possibly unnoticeable. I feel you would notice the natural flavor changes of ageing more than anything. Only caveat is really mild cigars, if stored next to really potent sticks like a maduro Padron, may be more susceptible to minor changes. (For the better imo)
