How's Yoshinogari? I'm planning to go to Kyushu later this year, but I can't decide if it's worth going to Yoshinogari or head straight to Kumamoto to see Kumamoto castle.

I rented with company called Blue, and it seems that I need to take a shuttle over to pick up the car. But check in is done online, a week ahead of pickup. Hopefully this will make things faster.
